ADP Traffic and Patrols Directorate Distributes Sweets to Motorists

To mark Eid Al Fitr, the traffic patrols at the Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate distributed sweets to motorists, and congratulated them on the advent of Eid.  This gesture comes in line with Abu Dhabi Police’s keenness to interact with community members on this joyous occasion, with a view to enhance communication and promote traffic culture, so that traffic accidents don’t mar the joy of these blessed days.

Within the framework of “Your Safety” campaign, Brigadier Eng. Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi, Director of Traffic and Patrols Directorate urged motorists to adhere to traffic laws and legal speeds on the internal and external roads. He called on them to pay attention and to focus while driving; warning against talking on the phone while driving. He also stressed the need to leave a safe distance between vehicles and not to take advantage of this joyous holiday to drive headlong and recklessly.

Furthermore, Al Harithi emphasized the need to reduce speeds near public parks, intersections and pedestrian crosswalks where children gather on the roads during holidays, to avoid run-over accidents.

For their part, motorists expressed their appreciation for this kind gesture from the traffic and patrols staff members, and exchanged congratulations with them on the advent of Eid Al Fitr.  They also stressed their keenness to observe traffic laws and regulations, including the legal speeds limits on internal or external roads.
