ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Sunday, April 13th 2014 [ME NewsWire]

The Law Respect Culture Bureau, at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, started the execution of the first phase of the legal education program for the female employees of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) across the country.

Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Salah Obeid Al Ghoul, Director of the bureau, said: “The program focuses on clarifying and introducing the role of the educators in raising and educating a knowledgeable generations that believe in the higher values and ethics of the society, where law and order is a main component. The program also aims to encourage these generations to call upon other society members to adhere to such values within all life aspects, through spreading this social message among children.”

Dr. Al Ghoul explained: “This is one of the most important programs that help realizing the strategic goals of the Law Respect Culture Bureau to create a social culture that believes in the importance of laws and the necessity to respect them, based on contentment rather than the fear of punishment and legal penalty.”

The legal researcher, Milan Sharif, supervisor of the legal education program, delivered an introductive lecture to a number of the female employees at the Ministry of Interior, explaining that the concept of education has become a vital concept for all civilized communities that aim to prepare their members in a positive manner since the childhood, so they can enter the society easily. “We want a new generation with a behavior that is free of any negative aspects and an environment free of contradictions between the individuals and their societies, with all of their components and concepts,” she explained.

Sharif said that the program builds a link between all law violations, from the simplest ones to the most criminal violations, and the level of education which the individuals receive, starting from their homes. “The ways in which parents deal with their children defines the level of harmony in which those children will later have in their communities, and whether this relation with their communities will be tense and tendency to challenge the society or rather a harmony and a positive interaction,” she added.

Regarding the educational aspect, the program addresses the scientific foundations of education, which aim to build the human being through constant organization of experiences and self-capacities. The program also covered a legal aspect, which focused on the legislator’s attitude towards certain behaviors and violations due to a fault in the educational process, which is a result of parents, mostly with good intention as they lack the knowledge of correct education principles.

Ms. Sharif said: “Educating the female employees at the ministry is the first phase of the program that will cover during the next phase the students’ parents and the professionals within the education sector; a category that is directly in contact with children and could actively help form their characters and build their future values.”
