Naturalization and Residency Department Team Crowned Champion of the Institutions’ Teams Snooker Championship


ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Thursday, April 10th 2014 [ME NewsWire]

The Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Department’s snooker team was crowned champion of the Institutions’ Teams Snooker 2013-2014 Championship for the third time. The championship, which was held at the Abu Dhabi Police Officers’ Club, was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, HH the President's Representative and Honorary President of the Abu Dhabi Government Departments’ Sports Association (ADGDSA). The Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority’s team came in second place; the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters’ team came in third place, while the team of the Ruler’s Representative’s Court of the Western Region came in fourth place.

At the end of the championship, retired Major General Mustafa Shehab Al Hashimi, Chairman of the committee, and Ahmed Hammad Al Mazroui, Secretary General of the Government Departments’ Sports Association, crowned the winning teams. They hailed the valuable efforts of the organizing committee, as well as the referees committee and all those who contributed to the success of the championship. They also stressed the vital role of sports in society.
