Sheikh Zayed bin Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Khalifa bin Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Zayed bin Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Zayed bin Ahmed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, participated in the “Friends of the Police” recreational program. The program is organized by the Police officers Club in Al Ain, affiliated with the Clubs and Sports Activities Department at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ.
They were briefed, along with the other students enrolled in the program, on the functions and tasks of the Air Wing Department at the Abu Dhabi Police. It is noteworthy that the department presented a thrilling live on rescuing and providing first aid treatment to the injured.
They were accompanied by Colonel Mohammad Suhail Al Rashidi, Deputy Director of Al Ain Police Directorate; and Colonel Hareb Khamis Al Khaili, Deputy Head of the Clubs Department at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ and Director of Al Ain Police Officers Club.
Captain Pilot Ahmed Butti Al Shamesi from the Air Wing Department at the Abu Dhabi Police gave students of the “Friends of the Police” Program an overview of the functions and duties of the Air Wing Department. “These duties include providing first aid, ambulance, search and rescue, aerial photography and road monitoring services, as well as VIP transport,” said Captain Al Shamesi. They also examined the Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing helicopter, which is fitted with the latest equipment and machinery used to airlift and provide first aid treatment to the injured in land or sea rescue operations.
At the end of the show, Colonel Hareb Al Khaili presented a commemorative shield to Captain Pilot Ahmad Butti Al Shamesi from the Air Wing Department at Abu Dhabi Police, as recognition of his valuable participation in the recreational program for the children of officers and staff members of the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ. In conclusion, he expressed his heartfelt delight for the success of the “Friends of the Police” Program, which provides distinguished entertaining and educational programs for students.
