100 Abu Dhabi Police Recruits Visit Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Thursday, July 10th 2014 [ME NewsWire]
As many as 100 recruits from the Basic Training courses No. 92 and No. 94 from the Police Schools Department at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ recently visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center (SZGMC). The visit, which comes at the invitation of the center’s administration, aims to acquaint recruits with this architectural work of art that highlights the valuable achievements of late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, as well as his humanitarian and charitable contributions.

The visit falls in line with the events organized by the Police Schools department during the Holy Month of Ramadan, and includes religious lectures and an array of programs and activities to promote the value of patriotism and instill it in the new recruits.

The tour of the mosque’s grounds included a visit to the tomb of Sheikh Zayed. The police recruits recited Al Fatiha in a tribute to the soul of His Highness late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan; praying Allah Almighty to bless his pure soul with His ample mercy and to rest him in eternal peace. They also praised late Sheikh Zayed’s charitable and humanitarian work for the benefit of the UAE and its people.
