Abu Dhabi Police and Red Crescent Sign MoU Regarding ‘Hifz Al Ni’am’ Project

The Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters and the Emirates Red Crescent signed a MOU to boost coordination efforts to serve society, through the ‘Hifz Al Ni’am’ project (Value the blessings). This will result in mutual benefits for both parties and promote progress in the quest to achieve the social responsibility strategy set by the UAE Government.
The MoU was signed at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters by Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services, and Dr. Mohammed Atiq Al Falahi, Secretary General of Emirates Red Crescent.
The MOU falls in line with the endeavor to promote mutual collaboration between Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters and the Emirates Red Crescent, in order to better improve the mechanisms of action and cooperation to the highest levels.
Major General Badran said that the MOU comes in response to the directives of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, who called for enhancing mutual coordination and collaboration with various governmental departments and charitable and humanitarian organizations, in order to promote the culture of volunteer work and instill noble human values.
He stressed the keenness of Abu Dhabi Police to promote social partnership with the Emirates Red Crescent through humanitarian initiatives, such as the ‘Value the Blessings’ project. This project aims to encourage solidarity amongst members of society, and extend bridges of communication between benefactors and both minimum wage workers and the needy, who are the main beneficiaries of this project.
He pointed that under the MoU, both parties have agreed to exchange information, goals, work plans and initiatives related to the framework of the memorandum. according to the memorandum, the two sides will develop social responsibility programs and enhance intellectual and social awareness of community members, through the various joint  campaigns and activities. It also stipulates that both parties shall coordinate mutual events, and take part in occasions and events pursuant to the terms of the memorandum; exchange advice and technical opinion on the adequate way to enhance  the services exerted by the Red Crescent in the emirate of Abu Dhabi through the ’Value the Blessings’ project. It also includes setting the proper work mechanism to move forward the ’Value the Blessings’ project by organizing several events and activities, in accordance with the two sides’ respective regulations and procedures. This would help to achieve the required services within the international standards of quality, sustainability, and environmental preservation.
The two parties agreed to cooperate to set a mutual work plan to carry out the terms and conditions of the memorandum, through a coordination committee, which will be appointed by both parties. The committee will be in charge of setting the technical clauses of this agreement, and the related procedures between the two parties.
Dr. Mohammed Atiq Al Falahi, Secretary General of Emirates Red Crescent, welcomed the continued collaboration with Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, on the ‘Value the Blessings’ project carried out under the auspices of the Emirates Red Crescent, to achieve mutual benefits. He noted that it will contribute to encourage humanitarian work and spread the spirit of charity and volunteer work among members of the community to support the weak and the needy wherever they are, following the teachings of our true religion and the humanitarian approach of our beloved country and its prudent leadership. 
Dr. Al Falahi emphasized that the Emirates Red Crescent endeavors to root humanitarian and charitable work locally and internationally, sustain strategic partnerships with all government and private entities, to widen its humanitarian reach and to expand its relief and humanitarian efforts to the various vulnerable segments of the society including the elderly and people with special needs.
Adding further, Dr. Al Falahi reiterated the keenness of the society to participate in the development of social responsibility programs, and enhance intellectual and social awareness of community members, through the various campaigns and activities organized by Abu Dhabi Police. In conclusion, he explained that training programs will be organized, and booklets will be distributed to the beneficiaries of the project. “We will seek the help of qualified lecturers and sponsors  and send out invitations to our various activities, in a bid to ensure the success of the ‘Value the Blessings’  project, in coordination with Abu Dhabi Police, he concluded.
The signing ceremony was attended by Brigadier Salem Al Shamesi, Deputy Director General of Finance and Services.
