Social Support Centers’ Staff Members Trained on Investigation of Child Abuse Cases


ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates – October9, 2014 [ME NewsWire]

The Social Support Centers Department at Abu Dhabi Police organized a training course on the essentials of child abuse investigation. The course, held in coordination with the Training Department, was attended by 14 officers and concerned social workers. The trainees were acquainted with the appropriate investigation mechanisms and the means to address issues that involve child abuse cases.

The course was moderated by three experts from the United Kingdom; namely Marcella Leonard, social Work consultant from Northern Ireland; Anne Stewart from the London Metropolitan Police; and Val Owens, Supervision Expert from Northern Ireland.
