MoI Strategic Partner for the ‘Ramadan Safety Campaign

Brigadier Ghaith Hassan Al Zaabi, Director General of the Traffic Coordination General Directorate at the Ministry of Interior, stressed the Ministry’s eagerness, as per the directives of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, to enhance cooperation and coordination with charities in the areas of common interest. “This gesture embodies the belief of the Ministry in the importance of philanthropy and community service that require unrelenting efforts and intensive preparation, to achieve security and safety on roads”, he said.

Additionally, he underlined that the Ministry of Interior is pleased to be a strategic partner for the ‘Ramadan Safety’ campaign that was recently launched nationwide by Al Ihsan Charity Association in Dubai for the fifth consecutive year. “This campaign have significantly contributed to curb traffic accidents by educating drivers about the need to abide by legal speed limits, so as to achieve the Ministry of Interior’s vision”, indicated Brigadier Al Zaabi.

These remarks were made by Brigadier Al Zaabi during the press conference recently held by Al Ihsan Charity Association at Zabeel Club for Women in Dubai, to announce the launch of the campaign. The campaign is held in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Police general headquarters, the Directorate General of Traffic Coordination, and the Departments of Traffic and Patrols nationwide.

In conclusion, Brigadier Al Zaabi explained that the Ministry of Interior has always sought to implement a number of charitable, humanitarian and social programs and events that serve the community. “The Ministry has also endeavored to take part in the events and activities organized by Al Ihsan Charity Association, in addition to participating in the preparation of joint publications to disseminate the culture of volunteering and traffic awareness. This aims to promote the development of the individual, family and community, as an important factor to achieve comprehensive development”, he said.
