SACSCOC accorde une candidature à l'Université américaine de Ras Al Khaimah

Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) a accordé son statut de candidature à l'Université américaine de Ras Al Khaimah.

Cette annonce vient suite à une visite du comité des candidatures réalisée par la commission en février, au cours de laquelle une équipe de huit examinateurs des États-Unis a assuré que l'université est conforme aux exigences fondamentales mises par la commission, aux normes complètes choisies et aux exigences fédérales.

Après avoir annoncé la bonnes nouvelle à l’université, son président, le professeur Hassan Hamdan Al Alkim, a déclaré: «Je souhaite exprimer mes sincères remerciements à tous les efforts considérables qui ont été fournis pour que nous puissions réaliser cette étape importante dans le processus d'adhésion. Nous sommes maintenant à une seule étape seulement de la réalisation de notre objectif afin d'obtenir l'accréditation institutionnelle de la part de SACSCOC.

"Ce progrès reflète un autre indicateur selon lequel cette université réalise notre vision pour se fonder comme un établissement principal de l'enseignement supérieur grâce à l'impact de son éducation et de ses recherches dans la région", a-t-il ajouté.

La candidature représente une réussite remarquable pour l'université, puisqu' elle poursuit son travail afin de démontrer sa conformité aux normes et aux exigences restantes. Au début de cette année, l'université a exposé son ambitieux plan pour réaliser l'adhésion à SACSCOC d'ici 2020, tout en obtenant l'accréditation de l'ABET pour tous ses programmes d'ingénierie et l'adhésion à l'AACSB pour son Ecole de Commerce.

L'ambition de l'université a conduit à un développement remarquable depuis sa création en 2009, avec une faculté diversifiée et un corps étudiant, ainsi qu'un campus en expansion visant à répondre à la demande accrue pour la formation à l'Université américaine de Ras Al Khaimah. Un nouveau bâtiment abritant l'École d'Ingénierie, un nouvel auditorium et un centre étudiant a été inauguré l'année dernière, alors que les travaux ont déjà commencé sur l'École de Commerce.

SACSCOC est l'organisme régional qui accorde l'accréditation des établissements d'enseignement supérieur qui délivrent des diplômes dans les onze États du sud-est des États-Unis.

L'Université américaine de Ras Al Khaimah est une université gouvernementale agrée par le ministère de l'Éducation Supérieure et de la Recherche Scientifique aux Émirats Arabes Unis, basée dans l'émirat le plus au nord de Ras Al Khaimah. Elle offre actuellement 18 programmes de premier cycle et quatre programmes de maîtrise dans une section de disciplines universitaires.

هيئة الجامعات التابعة للجمعية الجنوبية للكليات والجامعات تمنح الجامعة الأمريكية حق الترشح لنيل الإعتماد

منحت هيئة الجامعات التابعة للجمعية الجنوبية للكليات والجامعات (SACSCOC)  الجامعة الأمريكية حق الترشح للحصول على الإعتماد من قبل الهيئة.  وجاء هذا الإعلان عقب زيارة لجنة مختصة بقبول الترشيحات من قبل هيئة الجامعات التابعة للجمعية الجنوبية للكليات والجامعات (SACSCOC) للجامعة الأمريكية في رأس الخيمة في شهر فبراير / شباط الفائت، حيث زار الفريق المؤلف من ثمانية مراجعين من الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية الجامعة الأمريكية في رأس الخيمة، وأكدوا على أنها تمتثل للمتطلبات الأساسية التي وضعتها هيئة الجامعات التابعة للجمعية الجنوبية للكليات والجامعات (SACSCOC) ، حيث تتوفر فيها كافة المعايير والمتطلبات الاتحادية وبذلك تم قبول طلب ترشيحها للإعتماد.  

وتعليقاً على الموضوع، قال البرفيسور حسن حمدان العلكيم، رئيس الجامعة الأمريكية في رأس الخيمة: "أشكر جميع الموظفيين في الجامعة الأمريكية في رأس الخيمة والطاقم التعليمي على الجهود الكبيرة التي بذلناها معاً لتحقيق هذا الإنجاز العظيم في عملية العضوية، فنحن الآن على بعد خطوة واحدة من تحقيق هدفنا في الحصول على الاعتماد المؤسسي من قبل هيئة الجامعات التابعة للجمعية الجنوبية للكليات والجامعات (SACSCOC)."

"ويعتبر هذا الإنجار دليل اّخر على أننا نعمل معاً في الجامعة الأمريكية في رأس الخيمة لتحقيق رؤيتنا المتمثلة في جعلها مؤسسة رائدة للتعليم العالي في المنطقة." ويمثل قبول ترشيح الجامعة الأمريكية في رأس الخيمة إنجازاً ملحوظاً للجامعة، حيث تواصل عملها لإثبات الامتثال للمعايير والمتطلبات المتبقية من أجل الحصول على الإعتماد. وكانت قد أعلنت الجامعة في وقت سابق من هذا العام، عن خطتها لتحقيق إعتماد عضويتها من قبل هيئة الجامعات التابعة للجمعية الجنوبية للكليات والجامعات (SACSCOC) بحلول عام 2020، بالإضافة الى إعتماد جميع برامجها الهندسية من  قبل هيئة اعتماد برامج الهندسة والتكنولوجيا (ABET) وإعتماد جميع برامج إدارة الأعمال من قبل رابطة تطوير كليات إدارة الأعمال (AACSB).

 وقد حققت الجامعة الأمريكية في رأس الخيمة نمواً ملحوظاً منذ تأسيسها في عام 2009، بوجود هيئة تعليمية متنوعة ومجموعة كبيرة ومتنوعة من الطلاب، فضلاً عن توسيع الحرم الجامعي لتلبية إحتياجات الطلاب وإستقبال الأعداد الكبيرة من الطلاب الجدد الذين إنضموا الى الجامعة. كما تم إفتتاح مبنى جديد يضم كلية الهندسة، وقاعة جديدة للإحتفالات ومركز الطلاب في العام الماضي، كما بدأ العمل في مبنى كلية إدارة الأعمال.تعتبر هيئة الجامعات التابعة للجمعية الجنوبية للكليات والجامعات (SACSCOC) الهيئة الاقليمية لإعتماد مؤسسات التعليم العالي حيث تمنح شهادات جامعية فى احدى عشر ولاية في جنوب شرقي الولايات المتحدة.

SACSCOC Grants AURAK Candidacy

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), has granted candidacy status to the American University of Ras Al Khaimah.

The announcement follows a visit from a candidacy committee from the commission in February, in which a team of eight reviewers from the United States ensured that the university is in compliance with commission’s core requirements, selected comprehensive standards, and the federal requirements.

Upon delivering the good news to the university, Prof. Hassan Hamdan Al Alkim, its president, stated, “I wish to express my sincere thanks to everyone for the considerable effort which was taken for us to achieve this significant milestone in the membership process. We are now just one step away from fulfilling our goal of obtaining institutional accreditation from SACSCOC.

“This progress is another indicator that we are steering this university towards our vision of establishing it as a leading institution of higher education through the impact of its education and research in the region.”

Candidacy represents a notable achievement for the university, as it continues its work to demonstrate compliance with the remaining standards and requirements. Earlier this year, the university outlined its ambitious plan of achieving SACSCOC membership by 2020, while also earning ABET accreditation for all of its engineering programs and AACSB membership for its School of Business.

The university’s ambition has led to remarkable growth since its establishment in 2009, with a diverse faculty and student body, as well as an expanding campus to accommodate the increased demand for an AURAK education. A new building housing the School of Engineering, a new auditorium and student center was inaugurated last year, while work has already begun on the School of Business.

SACSCOC is the regional body for the accreditation of degree-granting higher education institutions in the eleven Southeastern states of the U.S.

AURAK is a government-owned university licensed by the United Arab Emirates’ Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, based in the northernmost emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. It currently offers 18 undergraduate programs and four master’s programs in a cross-section of academic disciplines.

أسوس تختار شريحة الاتصال المدمجة "إي سيم" من "أو تي - مورفو" لأول حاسوبٍ لوحي يعمل بنظام تشغيل ويندوز 10 متوافق مع مواصفات رابطة "جي إس إم إيه"

Asus Selects OT-Morpho’s eSIM for the First Microsoft Windows 10 Tablet Computer Compliant with GSMA Specifications

(BUSINESS WIRE)-- OT-Morpho, a world leader in digital security and identification technologies, today announced that ASUS has selected its embedded SIM (eSIM) to enable cellular connectivity for the new ASUS Transformer Mini, a hybrid tablet computer running with Windows 10 that will be launched this summer. The ASUS Transformer Mini will be the first computer device available on the market with an eSIM solution compatible with GSMA Phase 2 specifications for consumer devices.

DakOTa 4.0 eSIM contributes to enhance the Always Connected Windows user experience. It has been designed in compliance with the GSMA specifications to ensure the best compatibility with MNO networks worldwide and thus allow the largest coverage capabilities. It fully addresses the specific subscription management needs for consumer devices. Validated for Microsoft Windows 10, it enables device makers such as ASUS to offer greater connectivity capabilities for laptops, notebooks and other personal computer devices using Windows OS.

To stay connected anywhere, users will no longer need to buy various SIM cards when travelling. The eSIM will enable ASUS Transformer Mini owners to download the subscription they need by selecting one of the available cellular networks directly from their device. Furthermore, thanks to the initial cellular connectivity embedded in their device, they will be able to connect to the Microsoft Data Market place to select the subscription of their choice wherever they are, even if they do not have access to WiFi.
