Panasonic Develops a Stretchable Resin Film and Its Application Materials for Stretchable Electronics

(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Panasonic Corporation announced today that the company has developed a soft, flexible, and stretchable[1] polymer resin film using its proprietary stretchable resin technology. The Company will also provide a transparent electrode material[2] and conductive paste[3] along with this insulating film.

This newly developed material is an insulating film material that stretches and returns to its original shape, a feature that is hard to find in conventional flexible materials. It adapts to desired manners of folding and to varying free-form surfaces, substantially reducing existing design constraints. For example, it enables the construction of soft and stretchable electronic devices that are adaptable to a variety of forms, such as of clothing and the body. The newly developed material is deployable in a broad range of applications, from wearable devices to sensors, displays, and robots.

The stretchable resin film offers the following features developed on the basis of the Company’s proprietary stretchable resin technology.

This soft and stretchable insulating film material helps realize electronic devices for wearing or installation at desired locations.

Technologies in Detail

    The Company’s original resin design technology to produce a stretchable insulating material from a thermosetting resin Thermosetting resins are materials in wide and general use. Because they are subject to a trade-off between softness and heat resistance, it is a challenge to render them soft while retaining their heat resistance. Panasonic has developed a unique resin design technology to allow the material to have both soft and rigid components. This method differs from the conventional method of adding an elastomer[7]. This technology uses a three-dimensional cross-linked structure of thermosetting resin to relax stresses arising from stretch and restore. While ensuring compatibility between elasticity and stress relaxation, we have developed an insulating material, which, although made of a thermosetting resin, stretches and returns to its original shape to enable repeated use.
    Design technology to produce a stretchable base material for stretchable transparent electrodes ITO[8] is in wide use as transparent electrodes. Although it withstands bending to some extent, when subjected to folding or stretch, it easily develops cracks, thereby failing to retain its conductivity. To overcome this drawback, it is necessary to provide crack-free flexibility and ensure a conductive path for retaining the material’s conductivity even under stretch or deformation conditions. Panasonic has developed a technology designed to form a thin transparent conductive layer comprising conductive carbon nanotubes of an exceptionally high aspect ratio on a base material of a stretchable resin film produced with the optimal materials design for stretch and restore. Employing carbon nanotubes to form a conductive path, thereby providing compatibility between stretchability and conductivity, we have created a stretchable transparent electrode material that retains conductivity even after deformation.
    Technology to combine a stretchable polymer and a conductive filler for the production of stretchable conductive paste Usually, copper or other metal wiring would break when its base material stretches or contracts. Due to this problem, it is not easy to use metal wiring to form complex circuits. وذكر أن الحفاظ على المكتسبات التنموية يتطلب منا تطويراً لأدوات وتقنيات مكافحة الجرائم بمختلف أشكالها، ليبقى المجتمع متماسكاً يهنأ أفراده بالطمأنينة والعيش الكريم، مشيراً إلى أن الكلية حريصة على الالتزام بمراجعة وتطوير معايير التقييم بشكل منتظم لتواكب التغيرات الحديثة؛ في مجالات التدريب والإدارة والجودة والتميز على المستويين المؤسسي والفردي، لذا فنحن نهتم ببناء قدرات ذهنية تتميز بالكفاءة والمهارة والحرفية ومزوّدة بالعلم.

Police College Honors 53 Distinguished Students

The Police College honored a number of its distinguished students in academic, behavioral, and leadership fields. This step falls within the College’s strategy that aims to adopt and encourage creative staff. Brigadier Waleed Salim Al Shamesi, Director General of the Police College in Abu Dhabi awarded 53 students and a number of personnel and civilians with certificates and commemorative gifts.

Brigadier Al Shamesi asserted that the College is committed to continue working on implementing all standards required under the Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Program. The College is also keen to continuously respond to the police leadership vision to realize the MoI strategy and implementing it. This is realized via educating and training qualified staff capable of translating the plans and policies to a better future.

He also noted that maintaining developmental gains urges us to develop tools and technologies of fighting crime in order to maintain safety of the society. He also said that the College is committed to reviewing and developing assessment standards regularly in order to keep pace with modern changes in training, administration, quality, and excellence on individual and institutional levels. For this reason we are interested in building intellectual capabilities that is competent, skillful, professional, and science-based.

He also pointed out that the Police College throughout its 30-year journey has, and still, participated to building modern police forces based on sound strategic, scientific, and methodological planning that is capable of keeping pace with developments and changes of our modern era. The Police College succeeded in preparing and habilitating national dedicated staff that can counter various aspects of crime, take up the responsibilities of police work, and contribute to protecting stability of the UAE by maintaining security under the rule of law.

Colonel Muhammad Butti Al Shamesi, Head of the Media and Public Relations Section at the College said: “parallel to the ‘Reading Initiative’ launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; we distributed today 200 books on the audience. The materials of these books covered history, social, and security topics. اختتام فعاليات أسبوع النزيل الخليجي الموحد الرابع 2015

اُختتمت فعاليات أسبوع النزيل الخليجي الموحد في نسخته الرابعة، الذي أقيم تحت رعاية الفريق سمو الشيخ سيف بن زايد آل نهيان، نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الداخلية، والذي كان قد افتتح فعالياته الرسمية ، الشيخ عبدالعزيز بن حميد النعيمي، رئيس دائرة التنمية السياحية بعجمان .

وشهد "الأسبوع"، والذي أقيم تحت شعار "معاً لتحقيق الإصلاح"، العديد من الفعاليات والبرامج التوعوية المتنوعة في إمارات الدولة كافة، وبمشاركة وفود من المؤسسات العقابية والإصلاحية بدول مجلس التعاون الخليجي .

وأثنى العميد حمد خميس الظاهري، نائب مدير عام المؤسسات العقابية والإصلاحية في وزارة الداخلية، على الجهود التي بذلت لإنجاح أسبوع النزيل الخليجي الرابع، مشيراً إلى أن الفعاليات التي تم تنظيمها تنوعت، وتوزعت مابين المراكز التجارية وأماكن التجمعات في إمارات الدولة ، وتم من خلالها عرض وتقديم صور مشرقة عن التعامل الذي يحظى به النزلاء في المؤسسات العقابية والإصلاحية بالدولة، و الأنشطة والبرامج التي تُقدم لهم ، وعلى بعض ما أنتجه النزلاء خلال قضائهم فترة عقوبتهم داخل المؤسسات العقابية والإصلاحية.

وتوجه العميد الظاهري بالشكر للضباط الموفدين من قبل دول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، مثمناً مشاركتهم في فعاليات أسبوع النزيل الخليجي، وإسهاماتهم في تحقيق الأهداف النبيلة للنشاط الخليجي الموحد .

ووزع العميد الظاهري الدروع والشهادات التقديرية على الضباط الخليجيين المشاركين في الأسبوع ، وذلك في حفل أقيم بدبي؛   منوهاً بأن أعضاء الوفود المشاركة قامت بالمشاركة الإيجابية والفاعلة في الحدث، وتم تبادل الخبرات والمشورة ، حيث زار الوفود عدداً من أقسام المؤسسات العقابية والإصلاحية بالدولة؛ كما شاركوا في الفعاليات التي شهدتها كافة إمارات الدولة .

وأوضح أن الإدارات العامة للمؤسسة العقابية والإصلاحية في الدولة لها دور واضح في عملية الإصلاح وتأهيل للنزلاء؛ من خلال العمل على تعزيز السلوك الإيجابي والحد من السلوك السلبي، فضلاً عن دورها في عملية إيواء المحكوم عليهم طول مدة حكمهم، والعمل على تقويمهم وتأهيلهم من خلال البرامج التأهيلية والتثقيفية والنفسية ليصبحوا أعضاء صالحين في المجتمع.

وأكد ضرورة أن يسهم المجتمع بمؤسساته كافة في العملية الإصلاحية للنزيل؛ وإعادة دمجه في المجتمع من خلال الرعاية اللاحقة، وتغيير نظرة المجتمع تجاهه، مشيراً إلى أن اختيار شعار "معاً لتحقيق الإصلاح" لـ"أسبوع عام 2015"، يأتي تماشياً مع أهمية الاهتمام بالنزيل؛ وتقديم العون والرعاية الشاملة له، عبر الأنشطة التأهيلية وبرامج الرعاية اللاحقة.

وأضاف إن دولة الإمارات أولت أهمية قصوى لنزلاء المؤسسات العقابية والإصلاحية وأسرهم؛ لافتاً إلى أهمية جهود الجهات الحكومية والخاصة في توفير كل الإمكانات التي تحتاجها أسر النزلاء، مؤكداً أن الاهتمام بهم مهمة يجب أن تتشارك فيها جميع مؤسسات المجتمع؛ بما يسهم في إنجاح دور المؤسسات العقابية والإصلاحية ودعمها لرعاية النزلاء وتأهيلهم .

وقال العميد الظاهري إن الأسبوع، يأتي تأكيداً للرغبة المستمرة من جانب الدولة ومؤسساتها المعنية في تعزيز الاهتمام بواقع نزلاء المؤسسات العقابية والإصلاحية وأسرهم؛ من خلال لفت انتباه المجتمع واستنفار جهوده وطاقاته لمعالجة أوضاع هذه الشريحة من ضحايا الجريمة الذين دفعت بهم مختلف الظروف والعوامل المختلفة إلى الوقوع في براثن الجريمة ومخالفة القوانين.

4th GCC Inmates Week Activities Conclude

The fourth GCC Inmates Week concluded its activities. Held under the patronage of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the week’s activities program was officially inaugurated by Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Department of Tourism and Development.

Held under the slogan “Together to Achieve Reform”, the event included a diverse number of activities and awareness programs across all of the participating Emirates, with delegations from various correctional and punitive establishments from GCC countries in attendance.

Brigadier Hamad Khamis Al Dhaheri, Deputy Head of the Punitive and Correctional Establishments Department at the Ministry of Interior, praised the efforts exerted to ensure the success of the fourth GCC Inmates Week. He also noted that the week’s program included a diverse set of activities at multiple locations in malls and public places across the UAE. The activities showcased the civilized humane treatment received by inmates of the Punitive and Correctional Establishments in the UAE, as well as the different activities and programs organized for their benefit. The program also shed the light on products that are manufactured by inmates while serving their sentence at the Establishments.

Brigadier Al Dhaheri also expressed his thanks to the delegated officers from GCC countries. He praised their participation in the program’s activities and their valuable contribution to the efforts to achieve the noble objectives of this unified GCC activity.

During the closing ceremony, which was held in Dubai, Brigadier Al Dhaheri awarded shields and certificates of appreciation to the GCC officers who took part in the program. He praised the participating delegations’ positive and active role in supporting the event by exchanging expertise and advice. It is worth mentioning that the delegations visited a number of sections at the Punitive and Correctional Establishments, and took part in the activities organized across all Emirates.

Brigadier Al Dhaheri also asserted that the Punitive and Correctional Establishments in the UAE play a valuable role in reforming and rehabilitating inmates by encouraging positive behavior and reducing negative and objectionable attitudes. The Establishments accommodates inmates throughout their sentence and endeavor to rehabilitate them by enrolling them in rehabilitative, educational and psychological programs to help them return to their communities as upright and active citizens.

Brigadier Al Dhaheri stressed the need for concerted efforts between of all community institutions in the correctional process to rehabilitate inmates and to integrate them into society through post-release care and make sure that those who have been reformed are not looked at by society in a negative way. He also noted that choosing the slogan "Together to Achieve Reform" for the GCC Inmates Week 2015 is in line with the efforts to dedicate attention to inmates and provide them with complete support and care through rehabilitation activities and post-care programs.

He added that the UAE has dedicated the utmost importance to the welfare of the Punitive and Correctional Establishments’ inmates and their families. He also pointed out to the valuable efforts exerted by governmental and private sectors’ entities in providing all the resources needed by the inmates’ families. “Caring for inmates is a shared responsibility between all community institutions, which grants success to the Punitive and Correctional Establishments efforts as they provide care, rehabilitation and support to inmates,” he noted.

Brigadier Al Dhaheri also noted that organizing the GCC Inmates Week confirms the ongoing determination of the UAE and its competent authorities to promote the various aspects of care for inmates and their families. This is realized by engaging community members and mobilizing their efforts and potential to address the situation of this category of individuals, who have suffered a set of different circumstances and factors that led them to commit crimes and violate the law.

Adding further, he said: “As much as the UAE is committed to promoting and enforcing the rule of law, achieving justice and restoring rights, we are also committed to providing care for inmates and to preserve their dignity as human beings in the first place, by protecting their rights and granting them equitable treatment under the laws,. This would allow inmates to realize their mistakes and change their attitudes to return to society as upright citizens who participate in community building.”

He also pointed out to the UAE’s commitment to provide care and assistance to the families of inmates and helping them lead normal lives and overcome the hardships and negative effects of the absence of their breadwinners. “This is achieved by encouraging community organizations and institutions to help inmates’ families, empower them to overcome hardships and maintain their cohesion,” he concluded.

In conjunction with the GCC Inmates Week, a number of activities were organized; notably a specialized seminar was held with participation of experts from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC); and the Innovation Lab workshop, which was attended by the Deputy Director General of the Punitive and Correctional Establishments Department, along with heads of the Punitive and Correctional Establishments departments at the Ministry of Interior.

وقال المقدم فيصل محمد الشمري، المدير التنفيذي لبرنامج الحكومة الذكية في وزارة الداخلية، إن هذا الطرح يأتي تتويجاً لجهود وزارة الداخلية المستمرة في تطوير الخدمات الذكية عبر الهواتف الذكية مجاناً، وتلبية لاحتياجات شرائح مستخدمي الأجهزة الذكية مع تعددها.

وأوضح أن التطبيق يحتوي على حزمةٍ من الخِدْمات الذكية لفئات المجتمع كافة ، ويمتاز بسهولةِ التصفّح مع وجود خصائصِ عرض لذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة، بما يعزّزُ من تجربة المستخدِم، وتمكينه من إنجاز معاملَتهِ بخطواتٍ ثلاث كحدٍ أقصى مع وجود خدمات مساندة؛ مثل خدمة تجديد المركبات التي يمكن إنجازها عبر التطبيق والاحتفاظ بنسخة الملكية الإلكترونية على الهاتف المحمول إلى جانب الخدمات المتعددة لقطاعات الشرطة، والدفاع المدني والجنسية والإقامة كخدمة تجديد جواز السفر وخدمة إصدار تأشيرة للقطاعين العام والخاص والأفراد.

ولفت إلى مزايا التطبيق في تصميمه الجديد من حيث السماح لكل مستخدِمٍ على حده بإعادة ترتيب الخِدمات حسبَ اهتماماتِه الشخصية، وسهولة الوصولِ الى الخِدماتِ المفضّلة، مع توفر خدمة المساعدة الفورية والتي يمكن للمتعامل من خلالها التواصل مع أحد الموظفين للمساعدة عبر ميزةِ التراسلِ الفوري، ، كما وفر التطبيق لإدارة العلاقة مع المتعاملين ما يزيد عن مئتي تنبيه لضمانِ التواصل؛ ومن بين تلك التنبيهات: قرب انتهاء صلاحية رخصة القيادة أو جواز السفر ، أو ملكية المركبة.

ودعا المتعاملين إلى متابعة حملة وزارة الداخلية الإعلامية للترويج والتعريف بالخدمات الإلكترونية عبر مختلف وسائل الإعلام ومواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، للتذكير بطرق الحصول عليها سواء على الموقع الالكتروني للوزارة أم تطبيقها الذكي، وصولاً لتحقيق الأهداف الرامية التي تسعى اليها حكومة الإمارات والتي من أبرزها قيادة التطور والوصول للقمة .

أعلن برنامج الحكومة الذكية في وزارة الداخلية أنه سيتم إنجاز التحديثات للتصميم الجديد لتطبيق الوزارة "MOI UAE " تباعاً مع مطلع يناير المقبل، موضحاً أن عملية التسجيل في التطبيق تتطلب بيانات بطاقة الهوية وبيانات الاتصال الخاصة "رقم الهاتف المحمول"، والذي يجب أن يكون فعالاً خلال اجراء عمليات التسجيل، كما تتضمن ارسال رمز التفعيل برسالة نصية لرقم الهاتف المحمول المسجل في النظام، وفي حال تعطل الرقم او كان غير فعال يجب تحديث بياناته في ادارة الجنسية والإقامة والمنافذ لمرة واحدة فقط، بعدها يتواصل تقديم الخدمات بصورة ميسرة ومقننة .

واكد المقدم فيصل محمد الشمري، المدير التنفيذي لبرنامج الحكومة الذكية بالوزارة، حرص الداخلية ووفقاً لتوجيهات القيادة الشرطية على خدمة جميع شرائح المجتمع بتقنيات متطورة وسهلة في آن واحد؛ بتحويل شعار "خدماتنا بين يديك" إلى واقع ملموس في الحصول على الخدمات وبشكل آمن، مشيراً إلى ان الوزارة عملت تسهيلاً لانجاز معاملات المتعاملين على تخصيص رقم الهاتف 8005000 لاستقبال الاستفسارات خلال ساعات العمل، وتلقي مقترحات المتعاملين لتطوير الخدمات عبر البريد الإلكترونيsmart@moi.gov.ae
