KCI Chosen as Single Source Supplier of Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Products Now Available to More than 65,000 Members and Affiliates Served by Novation
KCI Awarded Three-Year, Single Source Contract by Novation for NPWT Products

-(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kinetic Concepts, Inc., a global technology leader in wound care and therapeutic support systems, today announced it has been awarded a three-year, single-source contract for KCI’s Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) products, by Novation, one of the health care industry’s largest supply contracting companies.
Through the agreement, KCI will be Novation’s single source supplier of industry-leading V.A.C.® Therapy products, based on KCI’s negative pressure technology platform, making KCI products available to more than 65,000 members and affiliates of VHA, UHC and Provista. The contract covers a full suite of negative pressure therapies with diverse applications, including management of the open abdomen and closed surgical incisions; and discreet, portable healing of small- to medium-exudating wounds.
V.A.C.® Therapy is the only wound care technology substantiated by more than 20 randomized, controlled, clinical trials and over 700 peer-reviewed articles. It has been selected as the treatment of choice for more than 6 million wounds worldwide.
Novation is a supply contracting company for the more than 65,000 members of VHA Inc. and UHC, two national health care alliances, and Provista, LLC.
