The 15th Emirates Ophthalmology Congress is will focus on updates and innovations in Ophthalmology and provide a forum for the latest advancements, reviews of current theory, practice and hands-on problem-based learning.
Delegates will gain insight into the most effective advances in the diagnosis and management of eye disease and prevention of blindness. Cornea & Refractive Surgery, Cataract, Glaucoma, Pediatric Ophthalmology & Squint, Orbit & Oculoplastics and prevention of blindness are amongst the scientific topics that will be addressed during the course of the conference. A comprehensive poster program will be featured and will be digitally available at all times. Special sessions will be designed to deliver the latest programs and recommendation in the prevention of blindness.
A large audience comprising of Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, Ophthalmic nurses, Ophthalmic assistants, Ophthalmic technicians, allied health professionals, medical trainees and residents from premiere medical organizations will be attending the scientific sessions and exhibition.

Renowned international speakers, Professor Brian Little and Professor Herminder Dua will share their views and insight on Ophthalmology during the three day congress.
Professor Brian Little is a Series Editor of the award-winning Video Atlas of Eye Surgery, which is now used by more than half of the trainee ophthalmologists in the USA and features regularly as an invited speaker at international meetings and is also a Principal UK Expert on the International Working Group that develops standards for ophthalmic surgical equipment. He has performed phacoemulsification for 20 years and now also offers multifocal lens implantation for those who would like to be less dependent on their reading glasses.
Prof. Herminder Dua is the chair and professor of Ophthalmology, University of Nottingham and is the head of the Division of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. He has received several awards for his research including the Oxford Ophthalmological Congress Founders’ Cup, the Ian Fraser prize, the Julia Duane Scholarship, Spencer Walker Prize, and 18 eponymous lectures including the Duke Elder Lecture at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists annual congress.
The Emirates Ophthalmology Congress (EOC) is the only continuing Ophthalmology congress in the United Arab Emirates that attracts a number of delegates from GCC countries, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. A trade exhibition covering pharmaceutical products, diagnostics, lab ware, medical equipment, instruments and the latest technology in the ophthalmology and visual science field will be show cased at the conference.
This annual international congress is supported by Dubai Health Authority and hosted by the Emirates Medical Association from 12th to 14 December at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Pioneers in the medicine and surgery of the eye will participate in scientific sessions and workshops to update the audience on the latest in their field.
