Graduation of 2 Specialized Courses at the Police College

The Police College celebrated the graduation of 32 officers from the different sectors at the Ministry of Interior after completing two specialized courses. The courses, organized by the Officers Training Institute at Al Ittihad hall at the Police College, included the “Risk Assessment and Analysis and Occupational safety” course and the “Counseling and Guidance for Employees” course.

Brigadier Saeed Salim Al Henki, Director General of Finance & Support Services at the Ministry of Interior, reiterated the ministry’s commitment to develop the skills and competencies of its human staff according to the training plan. This plan, which keeps pace with current developments, embodies the police leadership’s instructions to constantly upgrade the training system and hone officers’ skills.

Al Henki added that the courses aim at granting participants knowledge and skills to promote the modern concept of health and occupational safety. These courses also include risk analysis of health and occupational safety; execute basics and principles of civil defense systems in areas of health and occupational safety; as well as design, and evaluate occupational safety awareness programs, and implement virtual training scenarios on real-life cases. “The courses provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to identify the concept and functions of the administrative process, identify the counseling and guidance skills, highlight the optimal use of efficient communication skills; and implement the employees’ incentives and reward methodology at the Interior Ministry,” Al Henki continued.

At the end of the ceremony, Brigadier Saeed Salim Al Henki accompanied by Colonel Saif Al Kutbi, Police College Director, and Colonel Dr. Ahmad Ali Alkhzimi, Director of the Officers’ Training Institute, distributed certificates to the graduates, in the presence of heads of departments, heads of sections and college officers.
