Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister
and Minister of Interior, inaugurated the Security Support Patrols this
Tuesday at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ. His Highness ordered the
establishment of these patrols to carry out the non-traditional
security tasks in supporting all police units in the field. This would
enhance safety for the public and employees of the police and security
forces alike.
His Highness reviewed the patrols. Furthermore, Lieutenant Colonel
Khaled Al Shamesi, Head of the Security Support Section, briefed His
Highness on the training methods, performance level, and tasks to be
undertaken by the new section in the support operations. On the same
note, His Highness stressed the importance of further development and
innovation in order to serve the nation and its people. “We will not be
satisfied by good police performance; we seek outstanding performance
that keeps pace with the prosperity and superiority that the country is
witnessing due to its wise leadership,” noted His Highness.
Lieutenant Colonel Al Shamesi indicated that the Section strives to
achieve the vision of His Highness and implements the slogan: “When the
public needs help, he calls the police, and when the police needs help,
it calls the Security Support Section.” “It is one of the overall
revolutionary ideas of the future of police and security work that
provides instantaneous response, during minor, medium, and high risk
incidents when required,” indicated Al Shamesi.
Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of
Interior; Major General Staff Dr. Obeid Al Hiri Salim Al Kutbi, Deputy
Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police; Major General Khalil Dawood
Badran, Director General of Finance and Services; and Major General
Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations, as well
as a number of general directors, heads of departments and senior
police officers attended the show.
Saif bin Zayed Offers His Condolences to Nasser and Mohammed Al Awadhi
Al Menhali on Death of their Father
Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister
and Minister of Interior, offered his profound condolences on Monday to
the bereaved Major General Nasser bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali and Major
General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Director General of Human
Resources at Abu Dhabi Police, and their brothers in Al Ain on the sad
demise of their father. His Highness prayed to Allah Almighty to grant
them patience and solace to bear the loss, and to rest the deceased in
eternal peace.
Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the
Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Major
General Staff Dr. Obeid Al Hiri Salim Al Kutbi, Deputy Commander-in-
Chief of Abu Dhabi Police; Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director
General of Finance and Services; and Major General Ahmed Nasser Al
Raisi, Director General of Central Operations as well as a number of
senior officers and officials from the Abu Dhabi Police offered their
condolences to the Al Menhali family.
