The Al Ain Police Directorate announced that it has prepared a comprehensive plan to handle any potential emergency that may occur during the 42nd National Day holiday on roads and locations that witness large crowds of people, such as the Hili Fun City, Al Ain Airport, Al Jahili Fort, and the Green Mubazzarah area among others. It also reiterated the readiness of all police units to respond to any emergency call-outs during the holiday. Moreover, Brigadier Hamad Ajlan Al Amimi, Director of the Al Ain Police Directorate indicated that the directorate has also geared up to secure the 10th Al Ain Aerobatic Show, which will be take place from Saturday November 30 to Monday December 2, at the Al Ain International Airport. The three-day fun-filled family event is organized in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Authority for Tourism and Culture.
Al Amimi stressed the directorate’s keenness to participate in the different local and international events, in line with the strategic plan adopted by Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters to interact with partners, society members and institutions. He also pointed out that the directorate has established a comprehensive plan to maintain security and safety during this international show and to ensure the comfort and well-being for all visitors of the biggest event of its kind in the region. “The event brings together a significant number of spectators; thus positioning the city of Al Ain in particular and Abu Dhabi in General, among the preferred tourist destination in the region,” he added.
A number of police bodies will take part in the competition, namely; the Al Ain Civil Defense Department; the Air Wing Department; the Traffic and Patrols Sections; the Guards and Special Tasks; the Emergency and Public Safety; the Criminal Investigation; the ICT Department; the Security Inspection (K9), the Firearms and Explosives Section; the Public Relations, Community Police, and Women Police sections.
Brigadier Al Amimi noted that the participating police entities will also be organizing an exhibition on the sidelines of the show. The exhibition will feature a significant number of pavilions comprising the ICT Department, the Community Police, Traffic and Patrols, Emergency and Public Safety, Public Relations Departments and 999 Magazine. The audience will be acquainted with the role of police in marinating security and stability in the country.
Al Amimi urged the public to cooperate with the police to ensure the success of this event. He reiterated the need to abide by traffic and safety rules, and the instructions of police members deployed at various locations so that everyone can enjoy the holiday peacefully.
As part of the preparations for the UAE’s 42nd National Day, Al Amimi called upon community members to observe prevention and safety requirements and avoid all causes of accidents. He congratulated all citizens and residents on this glorious occasion, stressing the need for parents to supervise their children and protect them from incidents that may occur due to neglect and lack of attention.
He also called upon visitors of gardens and parks, as well as motorists and pedestrians on internal and external roads, to abide by civilized behaviors, observe traffic rules and maintain public property. He also advised them to respect public order, by refraining from equipping cars with any means that cause noise, and avoid using sprays during the celebrations to mark this glorious event.
