RSA Conference Abu Dhabi 2015
(BUSINESS WIRE)-- RSA® Conference (www.rsaconference.com), the world’s leading information security conferences and expositions, today announced it intends to expand to Abu Dhabi in November of 2015. With successful events throughout the world, this will be the first new event added to the RSAC landscape since the introduction of RSA Conference Asia-Pacific and Japan in 2013.
RSA Conference is in discussions with the United Arab Emirates’ National Electronic Security Authority (NESA), about the launch of the event. NESA is responsible for establishing cybersecurity strategies, policies and standards to create a Cyber Secure environment, further enabling the UAE’s unimpeded progress.
Targeting 800 information security professionals from Europe, Middle East and African regions, RSA Conference Abu Dhabi 2015 plans to offer keynotes, track sessions and sponsors, like its other events.
“Cyber security is a global concern critical to businesses and regions around the globe. NESA is committed to protecting our national infrastructure from all cyber threats, utilizing the latest innovative technologies and setting cybersecurity strategies and policies,” said a NESA spokesperson. “In order to stay ahead of threats, the industry’s greatest minds need to continue to share information and provide lessons learned. As a past attendee of RSA Conference events, I have seen first-hand the countless opportunities RSA Conferences offer attendees; to network and learn, and I am excited to see the event expand into Abu Dhabi.”
“The Middle East has rapidly emerged as an information security market whose influence extends well beyond its borders,” said Art Coviello, RSA Executive Chairman. “Our plans to launch RSA Conference Abu Dhabi 2015 provides a venue for the larger information security industry to tap into the burgeoning vitality and creativity of the Middle East and North African markets. We look forward to facilitating the same level of industry interaction and advancement in Abu Dhabi that has long characterized the RSA Conference experience.”
“As Internet penetration and investments in advanced technologies continue to surge in the Middle East, the need for enterprises and governments to deploy advanced security technologies and proactive policies grows even further,” said Mohammed Amin, Senior Vice President, EMC Turkey, Eastern Europe, Africa and Middle East region. “In recent months, we have seen frequent instances of advanced cyber-attacks and espionage campaigns targeting critical industries, enterprises and governments across the region making cyber security a core focus area for both enterprises and governments. RSA Conference Abu Dhabi is aimed at highlighting the importance of adopting an ‘Intelligence Driven Approach’ to security while fostering an environment of learning and awareness for both public and private sector entities to better understand the wider threat landscape and outlook for the future.”
