The Ministry of Interior (MoI) took part in the annual forum organized by the British Council in its headquarters in Dubai, with the participation of senior officials of child protection units from 14 countries in the Middle East and North Africa. The Ministry showcased the experiences and achievements of the Higher Committee for Child Protection. The MoI’s participation emerges from its firm belief in the importance of supporting local and international efforts to protect children from potential risks.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Interior has executed several initiatives and projects, most notably establishing the Child Protection Center. It also endeavored to enhance familial supervision on children, to acquaint them with the potential risks they may encounter online. It has launched and implemented a number of media campaigns, academic programs and training schemes to raise awareness of cybercrimes risks.
