Reviewed the best practices in the field of leadership

A delegation of employees from the Ministry of Interior’s first Distinguished Leadership Competencies Program reviewed the best practices in the field of leadership through the experiences of Britain’s Ministry of Interior and the London Metropolitan Police’s operation room.
The delegation, which consists of nine employees from the MoI’s program, recently visited the United Kingdom. The visit included trips to the Wembley Stadium and a crystal factory with consultations and viewpoint exchange with the officials of these bodies.
Lt. Colonel Dr. Omar Ibrahim Al Ali, Director of the Leadership Development Center at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, explained that the visit falls in line with the framework of the Ministry’s efforts to prepare its distinguished competencies according to the foundations of innovative and scientific processes. “These processes include training on how to develop and implement projects that are related to police work, and also provide access to the exchange of constructive debates and to the identification of the best global practices,” he said. “This contributes to the strategic direction of the Ministry and its interest to nurture and develop the potential of its human resources.”
Lt. Col. Al Ali pointed out that the agenda of the delegation’s visit to the UK included a training course on project management under the supervision of field experts. “The training course was a benefit to the employees, as it focused on the practicalities of program management by taking place in a variety of places and environments.”
