A delegation from the United Arab Emirates’ Ministry of Interior visited the Milipol Paris 2015, the worldwide exhibition of Internal State Security, at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center.
Members of the delegation reviewed the latest technological public and industrial internal security products, services, including transmissions, communication and authentication. They also examined the access control and surveillance systems, and information technology products showcased at the exhibition, which brings together decision-makers and security advisors from around the world.
His Excellency Dr. Obaid Al Ketbi, UAE Ambassador to Australia; Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of the International Exhibition for Security and National Resilience (ISNR Abu Dhabi 2016), who accompanied the delegation, said that this visit falls in line with the distinguished relations between the two friendly countries. It also comes within the ongoing preparations to organize the International Exhibition for Security and National Resilience (ISNR Abu Dhabi 2016) and to invite international companies to participate in the exhibition in its next edition scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi from 15 – 17 March 2016, which showcases the latest equipment, devices and technologies in internal security, prevention and safety and in the fight against cyber crime.
Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior, Head of the Ministry of Interior’s delegation noted that the delegation held several meetings with the Chairman of the Milipol exhibitions; the Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Interior; a representative from the French Ministry of Defense and an official from the United Kingdom on the sidelines of the exhibition. The parties discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation and training, exchanging experiences and identifying the most important activities and the role of the French and British companies in providing support to police work.
The Milipol exhibition is one of the most important exhibitions in the field of internal State security. This year’s edition features a notable increase in exhibitor numbers from 915 last year to 925 exhibitors this year. The exhibition constitutes an important platform to showcase the latest technological public and industrial internal security products, services, including transmissions, communication, authentication, media, access control and surveillance systems, as well as information technology products showcased at the exhibition, which brings together decision-makers and security advisors from around the world to review the technological showcase for public and industrial security products and services in the field of internal security.
The delegation toured the exhibition different pavilions, notably the pavilions of the participating Emirati companies, such as “RayZone Group”, “Advanced Systems International”, “Armored Group”, “Nera-S” and “StratignFZE”. The delegation also visited the pavilion of the French, Swiss and British companies’ pavilions, in addition to the pavilions of major international companies operating in the field of internal security systems.
The Ministry of Interior’s delegation included Brigadier Mohammed bin Naseeb Al Nuaimi; from the Directorate General of Civil Defense; Colonel Ali Mohammed Al Shamesi, Head of the Transport and Workshops Department at the Ministry of Interior; Major Fawaz Ali Abdullah Head of the Security Media Department; at the Directorate General of Security Support, the General Secretariat of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; and Captain Khalifa Al Obaidly from the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ. The delegation was accompanied by Maj. Dr. Khamis Sultan Al Muhairi, the Police AttachĂ© in France.
