Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaiaili, Acting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs met Brigadier Khaled bin Mothieb Al Ziadi, Assistant Director of the Military Passports Institute in Riyadh affiliated to the General Directorate of Passports in the Ministry of Interior, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, along with his accompanying delegation. The meeting took place during the delegation’s current visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen the existing cooperation and the exchange of experiences in the field of naturalization, residency and passports. The cooperation includes the qualification, training and information technology, between the UAE Ministry of Interior and its Saudi counterpart.
The meeting was attended by Colonel Ahmed Sultan Al Khodr; Lt. Colonel Khamis Al Ka’bi, Legal Adviser to the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Sector at the Ministry of Interior; and Lt. Colonel Mohammed Saeed Al Ameri, Director of the Emirates Institute of Naturalization and Residency; along with a number of the department officers.
From the Saudi Military Passports Institute, Colonel Saad Saeed Al Qahtani and Colonel Imad bin Mansur Al Assaf attended the meeting.
The Saudi delegation visited the Emirates Institute of Naturalization, Residency and Ports. During the visit, the Director explained the tasks and duties of the Institute, and the role it plays in organizing training courses for its staff members and qualifying them for efficient execution of the work and the tasks entrusted to them in the light of global developments and variables.
The delegation toured the Institute sections, where it was briefed on the cutting edge systems and software used in the organization of training courses and the techniques used therein. The delegation also toured classrooms and training halls.
Brigadier Khaled Al Ziadi said that the visit is in implementation of the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Nayef Al-Saud, Saudi Crown Prince and Minister of Interior; and is under the follow-up of Major General Suleiman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Yahya, in regards to the exchange of visits and experiences in the fields of training, qualification and the strengthening of cooperation relations between GCC countries. He noted that it aims to review the developed systems that help elevate the academic level of students through the development of scientific methods that keep pace with scientific and technological advancement.
Brigadier Khaled Al Ziadi praised the development witnessed by the UAE, especially by the police and security entities that enjoy the state-of-the-art tools and techniques used in the security fields.
Concluding the visit, the two sides exchanged commemorative shields.
