eSecurityDen 2017, the one-day cyber security conference will specifically benefit CIO’s and CEO’s of Oil & Gas, Retail, Hospitality and Banking organizations across GCC - according to the organizers - by providing education and advice to help them fight cyber threats.
Jeremy Boorer, advisory board member for eSecurityDen and spokesperson for eSecurityDen 2017 Dubai said: “Incidents of cyber threats and data breach in these verticals has seen unprecedented rise over the last 12 months. The regional organizations face unique challenges which need innovative solutions.”
A new World Energy Council report has recently revealed that the oil and gas sector could be spending almost $2 billion a year on cyber security by 2018. The Middle East organizations are more vulnerable to cyberattacks compared to their global counterparts according to the Repository of Industrial Security Incidents (RISI) data, which says that cyberattacks against oil and gas organisations in the Middle East make up more than half of the recorded instances.
Boorer explained that CIO’s across the GCC need security providers who work as their partners and offer sustainable solutions tailor made for their industry and requirements.
“The growing incidents of malware attacks and data breaches, increase in mobile threats and PoS security breaches pose a serious threat to the fabric of the GCC economy. eSecurityDen 2017 speakers and exhibitors will come prepared to demonstrate how they can solve specific industry issues, and this will be the biggest advantage for our delegates as they can get real sector specific insights and range of solutions that are fighting global threats today.”
eSecurityDen 2017 is a one day demonstrate-only conference which aims to bring together global eSecurity leaders and key CIO/CEO leaders in Dubai, UAE for the first time. More than 250 information security professionals from the U.S.A, Europe and GCC will come together in the one-day conference focused on eSecurity.
