Under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of HigherEducation and Scientific Research in the UAE, Plush Events will be holding its annual SmallWorld charity event on Friday March 16th in Emirates Palace. The event will be a fundraiser that brings together 20 expatriate communities that live in the UAE, where each participating country represents its culture and food in beautiful displays, followed by magnificent stage performances hosting music and dances from each of the participating countries.
This year, SmallWorld has joined the fight against child slavery, with “Liberate and Educate” as the campaign’s slogan, all funds raised from the event will go towards the liberation and education of former child slaves. “According to the International Labor Organization, there are an estimated 250 million children worldwide subjected to slavery, labor and trafficking, we felt compelled to dedicate this year’s event towards the eradication of child exploitation,” says Salam Hamzeh Ghaith, “Our aim is to take an active role as a community to raise awareness of injustice against children of the world and help raise funds for international organizations working with child victims.”
Hamzeh Ghaith stressed on the importance of encouraging an individual sense of responsibility towards society and specifically children, “I invite every person who believes in children’s right to freedom, education, safety, health and wellbeing to come and join us in this event, it is our duty to stand up against inhumane injustice, so join us in lending your voice to the fight against child slavery and take an active part in liberating and educating child slaves.”
Tickets are being sold at AED 250 each, and they are available in Virgin Megastores and on TimeOut Abu Dhabi and TimeOut Dubai ticketing box office. All proceeds generated from the event, whether donations, sponsorships, ticket sales or revenue from merchandise sales will go towards organizations around the world actively working on the eradication of child exploitation.

Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan that brings together people, residing in the UAE, from various ethnic backgrounds.
