Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police Reviews Achievements of Forensic Evidence Department

Major General Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, reviewed the achievements of the Forensic Evidence Department of the Abu Dhabi Police along with the scientific development level and international status it has accomplished in technological, scientific and humanitarian fields. Such levels keep pace with their counterparts in global laboratories and fulfil the requirements of international standards.

He praised the keenness and care of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior in terms of supporting all police departments including the Forensic Evidence Department that features the latest technologies and laboratories, which elevates its status to best international levels.

He was briefed about the Forensic Evidence Department's achievements and the distinctive position it accomplished in technology, science and human fields that match their developed counterparts and fulfill international standards. Major General Al Rumaithi then toured the department's sections and laboratories.

He examined different testing procedures carried out on weapons, munitions, documents and chemical tests in addition to DNA testing. Major General Al Rumaithi expressed his admiration of the globally unique forensic evidence management e-system.

Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police was accompanied by Brigadier General Dr. Saif Bu Dhufaira Al Ameri, Director General of Security and Ports Affairs, and Brigadier Mohammed Rashid Kasheem Al Shamesi, Head of the Diwan Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, along with Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Hammadi, Head of the Forensic Evidence Department.
