(BUSINESS WIRE)-- As part of their commitment to help drive innovation in wound care, Systagenixhas teamed up with The World Union of Wound Healing Societies (WUWHS) to create the 2012 Future Innovation in Woundcare Award. The prize, a £10,000 unrestricted educational grant, will be awarded to an individual or organisation that presents the best abstract for a research idea, improvement of current practice or new service that will help advance the field of woundcare.
WUWHS is awarding this prize from the abstracts submitted to the WUWHS 2012 Conference Young Investigators category. Any abstracts that are related to ‘innovative’ and ‘attractive’ are automatically considered for award selection. The winner will need to meet a set of criteria, including that the work will have to be innovative, the project needs to have already started or is planned start immediately and the final results will be presented within September 2013. The judging panel consists of the scientific committee of WUWHS 2012and the winning abstract will be announced at the 4th Congress of the World Union of Wound Healing Societiesin Yokohama, Japan September 2012.
