The Punitive and Correctional Institutions Department at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ has announced the visiting hours for inmates in Al Ain and Al Wathba centers, as well as in Al Razeen Section and the Juveniles Care Center during Eid Al Fitr holidays. Visits will resume after the holidays in accordance with the previous schedule, while the holiday visit schedule will be applied as of Tuesday, July 29 instead of Monday if Eid will fall on Tuesday.
Colonel Mohammed Saif Matar Al Zaabi, Director of the Punitive & Correctional Establishments noted that female visitors will be able to visit male inmates (all cases except drugs) on Monday, July 28 between 8 am and 1 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm for drug-related cases.
He also noted that Tuesday, July 29 will be specified for Arab male visitors, between 8 am and 1 pm for all cases except drugs, and between 3 pm and 5 pm for drug-related cases.
As for the visit schedules for inmates of the Punitive and Correctional Establishments in Al Razeen Section, he indicated that visiting hours will begin from 8 am to 1 pm for all wards according to the specified schedule. He pointed out that visitation hours will resume according to the regular schedule after days of Eid, and all visitors are required to bring their IDs.
Moreover, Monday, July 28 will be dedicated for inmate wards (2 and 4) and Tuesday, July 29 will be dedicated for inmate wards (6 and 9), while Wednesday, July 30 will be dedicated for wards (8 and 10), whereas Thursday, July 31 will be specified for ward number 7 and Friday, August 1 will be specified for ward number 1 and Saturday, August 2 for inmates of ward number 3.
As for the visits to the Juvenile Care Center, Al Zaabi explained that Monday, July 28 will be dedicated for women visitors who will be able to visit female juveniles from 8 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm. Tuesday, July 29 will be specified for Arab men visitors who will be able to visit female juveniles between 8 am and 1 pm, and Wednesday, July 30 will be specified for foreign men to visit female juveniles form 2 pm till 5 pm.
