The work team of the Distinguished Federal Entity in the field of Green Applications held its periodic meeting chaired by Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at Abu Dhabi Police, Head of the team. The meeting, which was held at the General Directorate of Finance and Services at Abu Dhabi Police’s General Headquarters (GHQ), was also attended by a number of officers, members of the team.
A number of topics on the agenda were discussed during the meeting, mainly the follow-up report on the Mohammed bin Rashed Government Excellence Award, and improvement opportunities. Attendees also discussed the media plan designed to disseminate the green applications culture at all MoI’s police headquarters across the country, and the plan to qualify the MoI’s different sectors for the Environment, Health and Safety standards.
In his statement at the meeting, Major General Badran, Head of the team, said, “The Ministry of Interior strives to achieve optimal commitment to the proper behaviors towards green applications, which will ultimately result in reducing negative impacts of its operations on the environment.” “This would allow the Ministry of Interior to become a forerunner in implementing the best sustainable environmental practices and to conduct its operations responsibly; commensurate with its vision, and as per the environment, health, and occupational safety regulations,” he added.
The team, which includes highly qualified officers, was originally formed to carry out several tasks, notably spreading the green applications concepts and culture across the various MoI’s sectors.
