MoI Discusses Preparations for 2014 Customer Service Centers Classification ProjectABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Friday, May 30th 2014 [ME NewsWire]

During its third coordination meeting for 2014, the Services Development Team at the Ministry of Interior discussed the preparations carried out by the MoI’s Customer Service Centers with a view to participate in the 2014 Customer Service Centers Classification Project.

The meeting, which was held at the Civil Defense Services Station, the Directorate General of Civil Defense, Dubai, is part of the team’s periodic meetings program. .

The meeting was attended by Major General Rashid Thani Al Matroushi, Civil Defense Acting General Commander-in-chief, along with Lieutenant Colonel Nasser Khadem Al Ka’bi, Head of the Customer Service Department, the General Directorate of Strategy and Performance Development at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Head of the Team.

During the meeting, the team tackled the corrective procedures for improvement opportunities mentioned in the assessment report for the Customer Service Centers that participated in the 2013 mandatory phase and the services’ electronic warehouse project. They also discussed a number of topics on the agenda that are related to Customer Service and services development at the Ministry of Interior.

Major General Al Matroushi reiterated the Ministry of Interior's keenness to achieve excellence in Customer Service and to improve the quality of services provided to customers of the Ministry of Interior in its different sectors, as per international best practices.

He also praised the team's effective role in developing the ministry's services and its diligent efforts to advance these services to the highest levels, commensurate with the UAE government’s wise vision.

For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Nasser Al Ka’bi valued the police leaderships ' efforts in various sectors in support of the projects and initiatives aimed at continuously develop the ministry's services. He pointed to the police leadership’s keenness to constantly follow up on all services development projects, to provide the necessary support to allow work teams to fulfill their tasks and duties duly in a way that meets the expectations of the Ministry of Interior, namely; develop institutional performance and enhance performance and efficiency of government services provided to customers in the Customer Service Centers at the Ministry of Interior.

Lieutenant Colonel Al Ka’bi also stressed the need to further encourage qualification and training of the main Services Development Team and the secondary Services Development Teams in the various sectors of the Ministry of Interior, as per the Emirates Government Service Excellence Program. This would help to enhancing team members' skills, developing their potentials and qualifying them as accredited assessors, to be able to efficiently carry out the self-assessment program at the Customer Service Centers.

Lieutenant Colonel Al Ka’bi stressed the importance of continuous follow up of the Services Development Teams in the different development projects and initiatives. He also emphasized the need to provide all requirements and data needed to ensure the fast implementation of these projects and initiatives and to avoid any delay in implementing services development projects' plans adopted by the Ministry of Interior. Lieutenant Colonel In conclusion, Lieutenant Colonel Nasser Al Ka’bi urged team members to double the efforts to maintain the Ministry of Interior's achievements and upgrade the standards of its services to the highest levels of efficiency.
