Lt.
General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of
Interior honored a number of male and female children and young people
born on December 2nd. The ceremony that took place at the auditorium at
the ministry’s headquarters is part of the Ministry of Interior’s
festivities marking the UAE 43rd National Day.
Lt. General Al Sha’far
said that the 2nd of December is a special day deeply embedded in the
hearts and thoughts of the Emirati people. “This historical day gives us
great pride, as it marks the anniversary of the establishment of our
country in 1971, which produced the most successful union experience in
the Arab world. This day marks the beginning of the blessed and rising
march of construction, development, progress and Renaissance, which
positioned this country in a prominent stature that befits its rich
history and cultural heritage,” he added.
Furthermore, the
Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior distributed gifts to the
honorees, particularly to a child named after the late Sheikh Zayed bin
Sultan Al Nahyan “May Allah bless him and have mercy upon his soul”.
The
ceremony was attended by Colonel Hussein Mahmoud Al Awadhi, Acting Head
of the Public Relations Department and a number of officers from the
Ministry of Interior.
