During a ceremony held at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior honored the winners in the third edition of the Ministry of Interior’s Excellence Award in the “Commander Category”; in recognition of their distinguished efforts and achievements.
His Highness handed over the awards to the winning officers, non-commissioned officers, constables, civilians, distinguished work teams, as well as the top achieving and creative staff members from the various departments of the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, partners and clients. The ceremony was attended by Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services; Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Director General of Human Resources, Head of Quality and Excellence team; Major Dr. General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations; Brigadier General Jassem Al Marzouqui, Deputy Director General of Human Resources; Brigadier Omair Al Muhairi, Deputy Director of Police Operations; Brigadier Maktoum Al Shareefi, Director of the Capital Police Directorate; and Brigadier Eng. Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi, Director of Traffic and Patrols Directorate.
The winners of the awards were as follows: Colonel Thani Butti Al Shamesi, from the Directorate General of Human Resources and Colonel Anwar Al Mulla, from the Directorate General of Central Operations, won the Best Leadership Officer Award category; Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Khalaf Al Dhaheri won the “Best Field Officer” Award category; Major Ahmed Mubarak Al Bloushi from the Directorate General of Police Operations won the “Best Supervision Officer” Award category; Lt. Colonel Dr. Najala’ Asaad Taher, of the Directorate General of Finance and Services, won the “Best Specialized Officer” Award category; Major Muslim Al Junaibi, won the “Best Technical Officer” Award category; and Captain Mubarak Ali Al Sabousi of the Directorate General of Police Operations, won the “Best Administrative Officer” Award category.
Moreover, in the non-commissioned officers and constables’ category; Assistant Fayez Ali Al Naqbi from the Directorate General of Central Operations won the “Best Non-Commissioned Officer” Award in the Field Employees category; First Assistant Aisha Saeed Al Shebli from the Directorate General of Finance and Services, won the “Best Non-Commissioned Officer” Award for the Technical and Engineering Employees category; First Assistant Ahmed Ali Al Kaabi, from the Directorate General of Central Operations and Administrative Mohamed Salem Al Muhri from the Directorate General of Police Operations, won the “Best Non-Commissioned Officer” Award for the Specialized Employees category; First Assistant Rashid Zaid Al Kaldi from the Directorate General of Central Operations, won the “Best Non-Commissioned Officer” Award for the Customer Service Employees category. In the Best Civilian Employees’ category: Mohamed Ahmed Kayalli, from the Directorate General of Central Operations, won the Technical and Engineering Award category; Hessa Hassan Al Bloushi, from the Directorate General of Finance and Services, won the Specialized Award category; Main Administrative Basma Taleb Al Atas, from the Directorate General of Human Resources, won the Administrative Award category; First Administrative Sumaia Abdulrahman Al Zaabi, from the Directorate General of Central Operations, won the Customer Service Award category.

Winners of the sectors, general headquarters and departments awards were as follows: Al Rahba Police Station at the Peripheral Regions Directorate, won the “Comprehensive Police Station” Award; Al Khalidyah Police Station at the Capital Police Directorate won the “Perfect Patrol” Award; the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department won the “Best Customer Service Center” Award; the Operations Department won the “Problem Solving” Award; and the Directorate General of Finance and Services won the “Best Website” Award.
Winners of the external awards presented to partners and members of the public were as follows: Mohammed Mohammed Fadel Al Hameli, Secretary-General of Zayed Center for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs won the “Community Service” Award; Al Sayegh Company won the “Best Events” Award; the Roads and Infrastructure Department (Abu Dhabi Municipality) won the “Perfect Partner” Award and Ali Al Murr Al Shakili won the “Perfect Driver” Award.
