Emirates Society Organizes Awareness Campaigns on Animal Welfare Issues

During the Emirates Society’s first meeting of 2016, Dr. Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Emirates Animal Welfare Society, reviewed the schedule of the awareness campaigns that will be launched by the society throughout the year. The campaigns will target the largest segment of the public and advocates of animal welfare.

Dr. Al Nuaimi confirmed that that awareness campaigns for this year will be held in collaboration with several public and private entities, which will play a substantial role in achieving the desired goal of spreading awareness through campaigns focusing on animal welfare issues and the importance of preserving animal life. He also called for the humane treatment of animals, encouraged the public to join voluntary activities related to animal protection. He stressed the importance of public awareness to maintain an ecological balance that guarantees the continuity of life.

During the meeting, the attendees discussed the society’s agenda and annual plan in the presence of all the society's members.    

The Emirates Animal Welfare Society is a voluntary institution that focuses on establishing and defending animal rights throughout the United Arab Emirates. In addition to identifying these rights, it aims to spread awareness of animal welfare’s importance and encourages the public to preserve the integrity of the environment and animals.
