Odia Society UAE cordially invites you to an evening of cultural extravaganza, Odisha Festival, at Emirates Theater, Emirates International School, Dubai on Friday 9th September 2016 from 5:30 PM onwards.
The event is managed by Flashback Events LLC and supported by Anaya Odisha.
The spectacular evening will showcase enchanting music, dance and rich traditions and rhythms of Odisha, presented by eminent artists, decorated maestros, local artists and children. The evening of fun fare and feast will be elegantly blended with traditional handicraft, textile and Odia cuisine. The King of the Holy City of Puri, His Highness Gajapati Maharaj Sri Dibyasingha Deb, who is a descendant of the monarchical line that build the World famous Jagannath Temple will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest of Honor. The cultural events will be followed by a Grand dinner of traditional Odia cuisine.

Music maestro Guru Prof. Ramahari Das, who is also a composer, teacher researcher and author has received the Sangeet Natak Academy Award from President of India in 2009 for his outstanding contribution to the field of music. He runs a music institute for training in Odissi Music Ramahari Das Odissi Gurukula at Sakhigopal, Odisha.
Dance maestro Guru Niranjan Rout is a very popular name in the field of Odissi Dance for 3 Decades. He has trained a number of Odissi dancers of international and national repute.
Guru Dhaneswar Swain is a name that reckons with Odissi Mardal and has established Odissi Mardal as a Solo & Group Precussion instrument. For this outstanding contribution he has been honoured with State and Cultural Sangeet Natak Academy Awards.
