Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Wednesday, September 7th 2016 [ME NewsWire]
UAE Internal Auditors Association will hold its 6th Annual Chief Audit Executive (CAE) Conference themed “Enhance & Protect Challenges Ahead” at the Four Seasons Hotel at Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi on the 9th & 10th of November 2016. This year’s "Smart Conference" is dedicated for the Creme de la Creme in the field of Internal Audit, with Chief Audit Executives from across the region gathering on a roundtable discussion basis to discuss and share their experiences and challenges. Mrs. Angela Witzany, 2016-17 Chairman of the Board at The IIA (Global), will provide the keynote speech of the conference.
Witzany chose “Audit Never Sleeps” for her theme as The IIA (Global) Chairman. “Internal auditors have sought to add value to their organizations by working tirelessly and passionately to meet the evolving expectations of stakeholders, and to become trusted advisers and partners to boards, audit committees, and management,” Witzany says in her travels to institutes, chapters, and other organizations around the world, Witzany plans to share her message that internal auditors must be credible, reliable, and have strong relationships to ensure their organizations are well-positioned to meet the challenges of a dynamic and complex business environment. She says she will draw on her experiences and challenges to encourage others to use an integrated way of thinking, so that their work will help to ensure organizational success.
The Conference will also present the 2nd edition of the Best Practice Award in Internal Audit. The award is aimed to appreciate Internal Audit departments that go the extra mile to implement practices and standards to ensure effective & efficient performances when compared to other organizations. Through this award UAE Internal Auditors Association aims to encourage Internal Audit departments to improve and enhance their activities by learning from those who have been successful at what they do.
