Willow Impact Investors is proud to announce that Pasha Bakhtiar, co-Founder and Managing Partner of the firm, has been honoured as a Young Global Leader in 2012 by the World Economic Forum in recognition of his leadership and vision in the field of impact investing.

The WEF Young Global Leaders Forum is a unique and diverse community of outstanding leaders from around the world. Each year the World Economic Forum recognizes up to 200 such potential persons for their professional accomplishments, commitment to society and potential to contribute to shaping the future of the world.

Following an extensive and in-depth selection process, 192 Young Global Leaders were chosen by a panel of judges chaired by H.M. Queen Rania Al Abdullah of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for 2012, of which 15 were chosen from the Middle East and North Africa region.

“It is a great honour to be counted among the Young Global Leaders of 2012 and I am thrilled to be a part of this prestigious forum. This clearly reflects that the field of impact investing is rapidly gaining increased interest from world leaders and forward-thinking investors around the globe. I am confident that together, we can help shape a better future by supporting businesses in their drive to achieve positive social and environmental impact,” said Pasha Bakhtiar.

He strongly believes that it is essential and financially advantageous to invest for both social and environmental returns. “We, at Willow Impact Investors, are committed to improving the livelihoods of the communities in which we operate,” Bakhtiar added.
