The International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (IHEE) visitors enjoyed live police sniffer dogs shows organized by Abu Dhabi Police, which will take place throughout the event.
The live police sniffer dogs’ shows included exciting training and fighting skills riot prevention, jumping hurdles, and handling security inspections, and were highly acclaimed by the exhibition visitors.
The visitors admired dogs’ performances, particularly in confrontations, clampdown campaigns and combat operations. The dogs demonstrated a high level of physical ability, fitness, excellent training and harmony between them and the trainers at the Security Inspection Department (k9) in Abu Dhabi Police.
Lieutenant Hamad Mubarak Al Azizi, Office Manager of the Security Inspection Department K9, who oversees the sniffer dogs show and the Security Inspection Department pavilion at the Exhibition stated: “The participation of police sniffer dogs in the International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (IHEE), as well as in other events, aims to highlight the significant role of Abu Dhabi Police in crime fighting and prevention, in pursuance of the Abu Dhabi Police goals and strategy to provide high quality security services.”
Lieutenant Al Azizi added that the (K9) pavilion at the exhibition has been attracting significant numbers of visitors interested in knowing the achievements of the Security Inspection Department. “They also want to get acquainted with the guidelines and tips on how to breed and train dogs. Moreover, the K9 Department is showing videos and photographs at its pavilion, highlighting its various duties, including the police sniffers dogs’ local and international participation in search and rescue operations in disaster areas.
