Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, recently honored 60 retired staff members of the Abu Dhabi Police, in recognition of their efforts and dedication during their tenure at the Ministry of Interior. He also presented an appreciation certificate, the MoI shield, and a recognition gift to the honored officers and to the deceased officers’ families.
The honoring ceremony, which was held at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, was attended by Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, and Head of the Retirees Honoring Committee at the Ministry of Interior; Brigadier General Ali Obeid Al Darmaki, Director of Personnel Department at Abu Dhabi Police and member of the committee; Colonel Saud Al Saadi, Director of the Secretariat of His Highness, the Minister; along with a number of officers.
In his speech on the occasion, Major General Al Nuaimi stressed the Ministry of Interior’s recognition and appreciation for the retired officers’ performance and dedicated efforts throughout their long years of tenure in the police force. He referred to the Ministry of Interior’s keenness to strengthening community relations among both active and retired personnel.
Addressing the honored officers, he said: “You and the deceased officers’ families have every right to be proud of the considerable efforts that have been accomplished, which have contributed positively to strengthening the pillars of security and stability in society. Retirement is the beginning of a new life phase in the service of the country and society”. Concluding, he wished them further success in their careers.
For his part, Major General Badran stressed the higher leadership’s keenness to take care and honor its retired staff members. He conveyed the greetings of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, hailing the retirees’ distinguished efforts and dedication during their tenure in the police force.
He also noted that organizing such a celebration reflects appreciation and gratitude to the retired officers who have contributed to the development of police work. He also praised their dedicated efforts in the performance of their duties, and their diligence and perseverance to pursue police work during their long tenure.
For their part, the honored retirees and the deceased officers’ families expressed their happiness for this generous gesture by the Ministry of Interior, which reflects the police leadership’s keenness to honor its personnel, both active and retired.
