MoI Unveils Ajman Residency four-star Plate

Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Acting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs, recently unveiled the four-star plaque at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Ajman, in the presence of Brigadier Mohamed Abdullah Alwan, Director General for Residency and Foreigners’ affairs in Ajman and a number of senior officers at the Ministry of Interior.

Al Khaili said that the four-star rating achieved by several departments and centers at the Ministry of Interior is the result of continuous and diligent work to achieve excellence and innovation in performance and to improve the quality of services provided to the public, in line with the UAE Vision 2021. He also pointed out the MoI’s keenness to follow the police leadership’s instructions to further develop and improve services and upgrade them to unprecedented levels, in order to achieve the highest rate of customer satisfaction, so as to meet all standards and requirements of the Emirates Government Service Excellence Program.

Moreover, he congratulated the employees of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Ajman on the prestigious achievement, noting that the four-star rating achieved by the directorate within government service centers is the result of their distinguished efforts, teamwork and dedication in providing services to the public. He also noted that customer service center’s staff members play an effective role in the field of customer service and they deserve our praise and recognition.

Furthermore, he called upon the directorate’s staff members to maintain this achievement and to endeavor to attain higher and better levels by pursuing continuous improvement and development and never falter or give up. He indicated that the process of development and improvement is the guarantee to achieve a quantum leap in government services efficiency, on par with international best standards.

For his part, Brigadier Mohamed Abdullah Alwan, Director General for Residency and Foreigners’ affairs in Ajman, said that the four-star rating was achieved by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners’ affairs in Ajman thanks to the considerable efforts exerted by the directorate’s staff members to achieve excellence in customer service. He praised their diligent efforts to improve the quality of these services, according to international best standards, in order to achieve the highest rate of customer satisfaction.

“The directorate has implemented the Customer Service Charter at its service center, and ensured follow-up on the implementation process, as well as assessment of the services quality and customers' satisfaction. This approach allows the department to identify areas of strength and improvement opportunities,” said Brigadier Alwan.

He added: “The directorate has established a plan and formed a team to develop services as per the required distinguished service standards. It has also provided services that meet the customers’ banking needs, instant photography, and library services, among others, in addition to providing customer service facilities that serve all society segments, especially people with special needs. The department has made this prestigious achievement by implementing a comprehensive assessment process in customer service. This reflects the Emirates Government Service Excellence Program’s vision that aims to understand customers’ needs by using the database to ensure better service delivery”.

Brigadier Alwan also stressed the keenness to pursue further efforts to develop opportunities for services improvement, through the use of innovative ideas and creative initiatives presented by the directorate’s staff members.

In conclusion, Brigadier Alwan said: “By developing these services, the directorate’s staff members aim to get a better assessment that helps customers complete their transactions easier in the coming period. This would allow the directorate to contribute with the rest of the departments and institutions of the country, to achieving the higher leadership’s vision and aspirations and ensure that the UAE remains at the forefront of developed countries in all areas.”
