Deutsche Telekom Provides NetAnalyze Real-user Performance Monitoring for CDN Performance Optimization

Polish CDN leader Atende Software utilizes Deutsche Telekom NetAnalyze to validate global competitiveness and improve performance

BONN, Germany. - Tuesday, May 20th 2014 [ME NewsWire]

(BUSINESS WIRE) Business Development and Innovation (BDI), an integral part of Deutsche Telekom’s International Wholesale Business Unit, announced today that Atende Software, one of the top IT companies in Poland, is a new customer for BDI’s NetAnalyze product. Atende Software selected BDI’s advanced data services solution for its redCDN platform in order to validate and publish Atende’s web scale performance using the Cedexis Radar public CDN benchmarking.

Recognizing that its CDN customers are increasingly concerned with the holistic quality of experience of their end users, including ISP “last mile” performance, led Atende Software to NetAnalyze. NetAnalyze uses a unique crowd-sourcing approach that provides millions of real-user data points on redCDN’s performance so that Atende Software can make evidence-based decisions regarding peering arrangements and platform engineering.

Data is delivered by an intuitive graphical interface through which Atende Software can generate either statistical reports or view live performance metrics on an AS level. This data can also be illustrated on a “heat map” that shows the individual performance of countries and regions.

The public posting of redCDN’s performance provides its customers with confidence that redCDN is delivering the performance they expect, every day.

More widely, BDI’s NetAnalyze offering, combined with its complementary service NetOptimize, enables the evaluation, development, and automation of multi-vendor hosting and delivery solutions (and hybrids of each). Based on about four billion daily measurements generated by users located in more than 34,000 networks around the globe, the delivery mechanisms for the end users can be optimized in real time, taking into account both the performance information and business criteria of the content owner.

“NetAnalyze provides the critical real-user and data insights Atende needs to ensure redCDN remains a leading streaming solution for our enterprise customers,” says Przemyslaw Frasunek, Multimedia Department Director at Atende Software. Frasunek continues, “At Atende Software, we recognize that performance is a continuous process that requires constant vigilance. The objective and independent evidence provided by NetAnalyze, as powered by Cedexis, is the standard for CDN performance monitoring and benchmarking.”

“We are proud to offer our NetAnalyze solution to the leading multimedia content distribution network on the Polish market,” says Karim El-Khazen, Vice President Business Development and Innovation at Deutsche Telekom BDI. "Our goal is to enable our customers to provide a consistent, superior user experience in today’s complex Internet landscape with an ever increasing amount of online content, growing numbers of devices, and a multitude of global networks."
