(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The ExxonMobil Foundation today announced grants for 2011 aimed at making further advances to combat malaria and raise awareness of this disease. “Over the past decade, we have seen a 20 percent drop in the number of deaths attributed to malaria,” said Suzanne McCarron, president of the ExxonMobil Foundation. “We are committed to continue doing our part to fight this disease and believe these additional grants will save the lives of even more people in the years to come.”
McCarron announced that ExxonMobil has awarded 24 projects grants totaling $10 million for work in Africa and Asia.
