150 Students from Adventures Students Camp Visit Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Wednesday, March 30th 2016 [ME NewsWire]

150 students from the Adventures Students Camp ‘Aqdar’ National Service program visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The visit falls in line with the field visits program designed to acquaint students with the mosque, which constitutes a prestigious religious, cultural and touristic landmark in the UAE and the region.

The students visited the grave of His Highness, late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, where they read Surat Al Fatiha and prayed Allah Almighty to bless his pure soul with His ample mercy and to rest him in eternal peace.

The students were given an overview of the Mosque’s grounds and facilities, its history, and the architectural features and craftsmanship that is evident used in the design and the construction. They were also acquainted with the different Islamic illustrations engraved on the mosque’s walls, and the historical architectural periods, which reflect the impressive cultural and intellectual diversity of the local community and highlight its ancient heritage.

Students expressed their happiness to visit the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, which represents one of the world’s most important cultural and religious destinations. They also expressed their admiration for the magnificent engineering design of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, which reflects the aesthetic beauty of Islamic architecture in Abu Dhabi. In conclusion, students expressed their wishes to visit the Mosque another time, due to the spiritual, religious and moral values it instills in visitors.
