During His Visit to the Western Region Police Directorate

Major General Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, inspected the Western Region Police Directorate and the different police stations across the Western Region. Major General Al Rumaithi was accompanied by Major General Maktoum Ali Al Shareefi, Acting Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, and Major General Omair Muhammad Al Muhairi, Director General of Police Operations at Abu Dhabi Police.
The inspection visit is part of the efforts to follow-up on the level of field work and to ensure the quality of services provided by the directorates and affiliated police stations.
The Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police stressed the keenness to provide high quality services to the public and ensure prompt delivery of these services. This approach is in conformity with the Abu Dhabi Police’s methodology, to avail of the most advanced means and mechanisms to deal with the public, respect human rights and preserve people’s rights.
Major General Al Rumaithi also highlighted the need to provide the necessary technical potentials and resources to ensure the police forces’ readiness to fulfill their duties and responsibilities. This would reflect the cultural bright image of Abu Dhabi Police, reinforce the public’s trust in the police, and engage the public to become an active and strategic partner. He also called for working diligently and constantly and seeking improvement opportunities. In conclusion, he stressed the need to not rest on one’s laurels, and to endeavor to continuously create and innovate, in line with the Abu Dhabi Police’s strategy to instill these values in the police staff members.
Brigadier Ojeil Abdullah Al Junaibi, Director of the Western Region Police Directorate, and a number of officers gave an overview of the work mechanism enforced at the station to combat crime, enhance awareness initiatives; and communicate with the public. They also highlighted the quality of services and the significant resources available at the Western Region police stations.
Major General Al Rumaithi and the accompanying delegation reviewed a number of initiatives and strategies adopted by the Western Region Police Directorate to combat crimes, in keeping with the Abu Dhabi Police’s strategy, which calls for working according to the latest security and police practices around the world.
They also examined a number of police facilities and the security specifications that conform to the best direct or smart service provision standards.
Major General Al Rumaithi and the accompanying delegation were also acquainted with the different policing tasks, and the available resources to ensure the proper execution of responsibilities and duties, commensurate with the significant progress witnessed by the Western Region. It is worth mentioning that the Western Region is currently attracting a number of international companies and institutions wishing to implement important development projects in the Western Region, according to the latest comprehensive development strategies.
