 ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Thursday, March 3rd 2016 [ME NewsWire]

The Ministry of Interior offered social counseling services and psychological advices aimed at promoting the characteristics of a good citizen amongst students, during the Psychological Care Forum in Al Ain. The forum, which was organized by the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) in cooperation with UAE University (UAEU), took place at the UAEU campus in Al Ain.



The Creativity and Leadership Development Center at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Interior was invited to participate in the first Psychological Care Forum, and the third Awareness and Psychological Guidance Exhibition at UAEU. The participation aims to spread guidance and awareness amongst students in particular, and to serve society in general.



The center hosted a cultural pavilion at the forum, which was supervised by Captain Suhail Al Ketbi. The pavilion aims to introduce and explain the basic and leadership capabilities required for graduate students wishing to enroll in field work, which represent the most important characteristics to achieve professional success and acceptance. The pavilion also aims to educate students on the means of self-motivation, flexibility, adaptation, time management, creativity and innovation, and customer service, to promote the skills of communication, productivity and improve performance excellence based on the corporate excellence standards.



Captain Al Ketbi stressed the keenness of the Ministry of Interior to cater to the needs of society and encourage graduates and employees to seek excellence, in a way that is consistent with the comprehensive development witnessed by the UAE in the fields of creativity and innovation.



Maryam Mohammed Al Ahmadi, Social Researcher at the Creativity and Leadership Development Center, gave a lecture that included social and psychological advice, aimed at promoting the characteristics of a good citizen amongst the students, and instilling them in their soul. She said: “Such characteristics are the pillars that ensure a prosperous future, and the key for development, growth and faith in the love of the country. This would allow us to nurture a generation equipped with the educational, knowledge, and technical skills, which qualify them to enter the work market.”



Adding further, Ms. Al Ahmadi said: “Participation in this forum reflects the MoI’s strategy to keep abreast of purposeful social activities, and to be at the forefront of participants and supporters of all efforts that would benefit society.” She also noted that those efforts aim to develop the educational, awareness, psychological, and practical skills of community members, which would ultimately create opportunities to promote the coveted goals of security and stability.”



It is worth mentioning that the Creativity and Leadership Development Center, is the first Government entity in the Middle East, to join the International Test Commission (ITC). By joining the Commission, staff members shall be assessed according to internationally recognized standards and criteria in this vital and specialized field of work.
