Ministry of Interior’s staff member, Badr Abbas Al Hosani, ranked first in the Arab Police Championship Wheelchair Half Marathon. The championship recently took place at the Dead Sea, Jordan, with the participation of Arab male and female athletes, representing 12 countries.
Colonel Waleed Al Shamesi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Police College and Head of the Ministry of Interior’s delegation taking part in the Arab Police Championship Half Marathon praised MoI’s staff member, Badr Abbas Al Hosani for ranking first in the wheelchairs half marathon, representing the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
He said: “This championship embodies the significant and valuable role of sports in improving performance of Arab police authorities’ staff members. It also aims to foster a spirit of fair competition and enhances communication and relations between police authorities and staff members, so as to shape the Arab Police Sports system, based on integrity and fair competition.”
