Under the auspices of His Excellency Major General Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, the Capital Police Directorate recently held a ceremony to honor distinguished internal and external partners, security teams, and male and female police staff members. The ceremony that took place at the Police Officers Club in Abu Dhabi comes in recognition and appreciation for the partners’ fruitful cooperation, and for the distinguished staff members’ efforts in achieving new milestones that serve police work, according to the Ministry of Interior’s vision.
The honoring ceremony was attended by Colonel Ahmed Saif bin Zeitoun Al Muhairi, Director of the Capital Police Directorate; Colonel Dr. Rashid Mohammad Borshid, Head of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID)
at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters (GHQ); Colonel Muslim Mohammed Al Ameri, Deputy Head of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID); as well as a number of senior officers from the Abu Dhabi Police; representatives of strategic partners, and distinguished staff members.
Colonel Al Muhairi stressed that the Capital Police Directorate takes prides in the partnership and cooperation relations with various entities. “Such valuable partnership contributes to support the aspirations aimed at developing performance and services in the quest towards achieving further excellence and leadership in various areas of institutional work,” he said. Moreover, Colonel Al Muhairi underscored the Abu Dhabi Police’s commitment to honor all entities that support their efforts and work, in line with their strategy, to achieve efficient partnership and coordination with everyone.
Adding further, Colonel Al Muhairi said: “This honoring ceremony organized each year by the Capital Police Directorate, comes in recognition of the efforts of outstanding partners representing the various entities, which have further enhanced their leading cooperation and exerted significant efforts to constantly develop institutional work. This approach is part of the Capital Police Directorate’s ongoing quest to provide excellent services to the public, enhance its capacity and upgrade the level of performance in the various areas of humanitarian and social work.”
Colonel Al Muhairi expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the honorees. “This accolade represents an incentive and motivation to pursue giving, consolidate relations with partners, and enhance teamwork in support of the development and modernization process,” he said. Moreover, he noted that this recognition encourages police officers to show excellence in various areas of security work, in order to provide optimal services to the public; in accordance with the best international standards.
In his address on the occasion, Lt. Colonel Awad Saif Al Bloushi, Head of the Public Relations Section at the Capital Police Directorate, hailed the exemplary cooperation between the Capital Police Directorate and strategic partners from various entities. “This cooperation is based on the strategy of the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, which attaches great importance to enhancing relations with partners and staff members, who provide distinguished initiatives worthy of praise and appreciation,” he indicated.
The ceremony featured a presentation, provided by the Capital Police Directorate, which highlighted the directorate’s achievements and efforts, as well as the work mechanisms at its the various affiliated centers and sections, which operate according to distinguished modern systems, commensurate with the best international standards. This approach aims to upgrade policing work and achieve the strategic objectives of the Abu Dhabi Police in a safe and sustainable manner, in line with the Abu Dhabi Government Plan 2030.
Towards the end of the ceremony, Colonel Ahmed Saif bin Zeitoun Al Muhairi, accompanied by Colonel Dr. Rashid Mohammad Borshid and Colonel Muslim Mohammed Al Ameri distributed the thanks and appreciation certificates as well as the commemorative shields to the honorees. During the ceremony, six different external partners were honored, notably, the Public Prosecution in Abu Dhabi; the Department of Economic Development; the Labor Inspection Department; the Corniche Beach Department; the Abu Dhabi Municipality; and “Mawaqef”.
Eight internal partners representing the Abu Dhabi Police departments were also honored. They include; the Criminal Investigation Department (CID); the Employees Performance Appraisal Department; the Crime Scene Department; the Weapons and Explosives Department; the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Department; the Information Security Department; and the Strategic Planning Office at the General Directorate of Police Operations. A number of officers from the General Directorate of Police Operations, and 400 security team members and distinguished employees at the Abu Dhabi Police were also honored during the annual ceremony.
