In a ceremony held in his office, Brigadier Fares Khalifa Al Farsi, Director General of Guards and Special Tasks at Abu Dhabi Police, awarded 26 officers with their new ranks. The officers were promoted in accordance with the recently issued Decree as follows: five officers were promoted from the rank of Lieutenant to Captain; and 21 officers were promoted from the rank of Lieutenant to First Lieutenant. During the ceremony, Brigadier Al Farsi also honored the football team that took part in the Commander-in-Chief Award at the Ramadan Football Tournament 2013.
Brigadier Al Farsi congratulated the newly promoted officers, from the departments of the Guards and Special Tasks Directorate General. He asserted their eligibility for such a promotion; praising their efforts in the line of duty and in carrying out the tasks entrusted to them.
He also indicated that the promotion represents an incentive to encourage staff members to exert further efforts and promote police work for the good of the nation. Concluding, he wished the officers success and luck in their careers.
