Handed ISO certificates to 5th phase departments
ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Wednesday, August 28th 2013
Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, said that the Ministry of Interior has adopted a development policy according to a clear strategy, inspired by the instructions of the higher leadership, in order to realize best police practices and applications.
He stated: “The project was launched to qualify the ministry for the ISO 9001:2008 certification according to a three-year plan,” stressing the ministry’s commitment to achieving development and progress across all fields, and working towards continuous improvement.
These remarks were made by HE Major General Al Nuaimi at the ceremony to distribute the ISO 9001:2008 certificate to the 5th phase departments at the Ministry of Interior and Abu Dhabi Police GHQ. The ceremony was recently held at the Forensic Evidence Department’s hall at the Abu Dhabi Police.
Attended the ceremony, Major General Dr. Abdul Quddous Abdul Razzaq Al Obaidly, Director General of Total Quality at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ; Brigadier Ahmed Mohammed Nehkairah, Head of Human Rights Department, Ministry of Interior, and Director General, Security Support; Staff Brigadier Pilot Ali Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Head of the Air Wing Department; Colonel Staff Dr Ali Salim Al Tunaiji, Deputy Commander of Special Security Forces; Colonel Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Strategy and Performance Development Director General; Colonel Saif Al Kutbi, Police College Director; Colonel Saud Al Sa’idi, Director of the Secretariat of the Office of His Highness the Minister of Interior; and a number of officers.
The Secretary General congratulated the working teams that received the ISO certificate and called on them to seek quality in work; stressing the importance of having a correct administrative foundation for development and progress.
In his speech on the occasion, Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Saeed Matar Al Suraidi, Head of Quality Department at the Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development at the Ministry of Interior, welcomed the attendees and extended his congratulations to the teams that obtained the ISO certificate.
“The work teams were qualified and trained to document operations and procedures in accordance with international requirements and standards in order to achieve the highest level of performance and development within work systems. This reflects the vision and strategy of the Ministry of Interior to ensure quality through an ambitious plan that was executed over the course of three years,” Al Suraidi stated; urging the teams to show further excellence, while endeavoring to improve and develop the quality system.
Following the speech, the sponsor of the event, accompanied by Dr. Saeed Al Suraidi, handed the certificates to the work teams of the qualified entities and departments, namely; the Special Security Forces GHQ and seven of its departments; the Police College and six of its departments; the Directorate General of Security Support; the Federal Crime Scene Department; Public Safety and Quick Intervention Department; the Air Wing Department and its Police Follow-up Department; the General Secretariat of His Highness, the Minister of Interior; the Leadership Development and Creativity Center; the Law Respect Culture Bureau; the Organizational Structure Department; the Project Management Department; the Complaints and Suggestions Department; and the Quality Department at the Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development.
