The 8th Ramadan Worker Championship, which is organized by Musaffah Police Station of the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, concluded. A total of 40 teams, including 16 football teams, eight volleyball teams, and 16 cricket teams, took part in the championship.
The Higher Corporation for Specialized Economic Zones’ team won the football championship, in the final match, played on the sports court at ICAD city, Musaffah, after defeating the National Central Cooling Company PJSC (Tabreed) by 6 to 5.
The (Al Mansour) team came first in the volleyball games, after defeating the Abu Dhabi National Hotels’ team that ranked second, while the (Kashmir Alphen) ranked first in the cricket games, after defeating the (Al Ghazal Company) team in the final match at ICAD city.
At the end of the championship games, Major Sultan Saeed Al Raisi, Director of Musaffah Police Station at the Peripheral Areas Police Directorate at the Abu Dhabi Police and Jum’a Saeed Al Ka’bi, Executive Director of Collective Housing at ICAD, congratulated the winners and handed them the awards and the memorial shields.
Major Al Raisi said: “This championship comes within the Abu Dhabi Police’s continuous support to involve workers in society.” He added that communicating with these communities reflect positively on their productivity. He also extended his congratulations to the winning teams and players, urging them to exert more efforts and develop their skills with sporting spirit.
Furthermore, Major Al Raisi extended his thanks and gratitude to the Executive Director of the Collective Housing at ICAD, commending the efforts of all those who contributed tobring success to this championship, including public and private institutions. “Organizing this championship for eight consecutive years is a significant proof of its success,” he said.
For his part, Jum’a Al Ka’bi commended the efforts of the Musaffah Police Station, and its constant support to ensure the success of this championship, now in its 8th consecutive year. “This Championship aims to involve workers and enhance entertainment and competitive aspects for workers in society, as well as help them expend their energy in sports.” He explained.
