ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Thursday, August 1st 2013 [ME NewsWire]
The Emirates Women Police Association organized an Iftar banquet for a number of women police officers at the country level. The banquet was held at the Intercontinental Hotel Abu Dhabi.
Addressing the gathering, Major Amina Al Baloushi, Chairperson of the Emirates Women Police Association, indicated that reuniting the Association’s members on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan promotes the spirit of solidarity, social cohesion and charitable work. She highlighted a number of social and charitable work aspects that the Emirates Women Police Association had previously carried out, in cooperation with the UAE Red Crescent Authority and the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments.
The Iftar banquet was attended by Mrs. Jamal Kaddura, Deputy Director General of the Gulf Diagnostic Center.
