ADP Legal Affairs Department Approves 42 contracts within 42 non-stop hours

To mark the UAE’s 42nd National Day, the Legal Affairs Department at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ has launched an initiative pertaining to drafting, finalizing and approving 42 special contracts on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Police. It also undertook a thorough follow-up of the implementation procedures of the said 42 contracts to be carried out by the competent departments, within 42 hours of non-stop concerted work.
According to Colonel Dr. Salim Al Yamahi, Head of the Legal Affairs Department at Abu Dhabi Police, the department, represented by the Contracts Section, has started implementing the “Initiative” as of yesterday (Monday), at 6:00 pm. It will continue until 12:00 pm on Wednesday. Employees have started executing the “initiative” in shifts, each according to his/her competence.
Colonel Al Yamahi indicated that this first-of-its-kind initiative was launched upon the directives of Major General Staff Dr. Obeid Al Hiri Al Kutbi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, following the instructions of Lt. General H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
“This ‘Initiative’ also aims to support the various departments affiliated to the Abu Dhabi Police, and involved in drafting and finalizing  the contracts that are signed with Abu Dhabi Police,” said Colonel Al Yamahi. He added that the contracts’ legal clauses have been discussed, drafted, and approved in their final form, right on schedule.
The Head of the Legal Affairs Department explained that the contracts are based on the standard models adopted by the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, and generally signed between police departments and partners of the police GHQ, with the aim of supporting delivery of high-end services in areas of policing and community service.
