Children who participated in the “Aftershock” theatrical demonstration honored

Major General Staff Dr. Obeid Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee for the 6th International Security, Safety and National Resilience Exhibition and Conference (ISNR Abu Dhabi 2014) honored the children who participated in the “Aftershock”, the live theatrical demonstration on responding to crises and emergencies that took place on the stage set up at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

Major General Staff Al Ketbi praised the role played by the children who took part in the show, wishing them the best of luck. He also expressed his hope that they make good use of this experience, and that they share the know-how they acquired with their colleagues, in order to acquaint them with the key role carried out by police authorities to provide security and stability for citizens, residents and visitors.

For their part, the children who participated in the show expressed their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for the Ministry of Interior’s officials for granting them the opportunity to work closely with police forces and learn about the vital role carried out by different police entities, institutions and concerned authorities to maintain security, stability and tranquility for all community members.

The children said that the demonstration demonstrated the Ministry of Interior's emergency preparedness during unexpected earthquakes. It also acquainted with the various ways to handle crisis and disasters and the importance of helping police members during rescue missions. The children added that they were thrilled by the speed with which firefighters were able to extinguish fires using modern equipment, and amazed by the field hospital, which provided aid and treatment for the wounded at the accident location.

The honoring ceremony was attended by Colonel Waleed Salem Al Shamesi, Chairman of the Activities and Shows Committee, and Lt. Colonel Hamad Al Riyami, Vice Chairman of the Committee, along with a number of police officers.
