ADP Music Band Celebrates UAE Flag Day in Berlin

The Abu Dhabi Police (ADP) Music Band took part in the UAE Flag Day celebrations at the UAE embassy in the German capital Berlin on Monday. The event falls on the 3rd of November, and is in response to the national and popular campaign launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai to celebrate the UAE Flag Day; marking the 10th anniversary of the ascension of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to his high position of President of the UAE. 

During the ceremony held to hoist the UAE flag at the UAE embassy, the ADP Music Band performed an impressive and distinguished national show that began with the UAE national anthem and included a number of traditional and national Emirati musical pieces. The performances were highly acclaimed by the staff members of the embassy and a number of attendees.

HE Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany, praised the efforts of the ADP Music Band in illustrating the distinct image of UAE heritage and of the cultural Arabic and Gulf music. Having impressed the German public with their beautiful musical performances, HE additionally lauded the band’s creativity in the Berlin Military Music Festival “Berlin Tattoo 2014”.

Colonel Saif Saeed Al Shamesi, Chief of the Cultural and Social Activity Section at the Abu Dhabi Police Clubs and Sports Activities Department, Chairman of the Committee accompanying the Police Music Band, presented the ADP Music Band’s shield to HE Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to Germany and HE Dr. Mazen Al-Tal, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Germany. The shield was gifted in the presence of Captain Ibrahim Al Bateh and the media delegation of ADP.
